15 Online Business Tips You Can't Ignore

Several times I have started and stopped businesses online because I thought I can make it without online business tips. I know many are like me, perhaps you are. Thousands of people start online businesses on a daily basis, but very few succeed. We think that online business is simpler than offline business and should be a walk in the park. Don't be deceived!
The good news is, running a business on the internet is simpler than running it offline; however it's not as simple as it can be assumed. Since it is a business, it has challenges just like any other business. The better part is that here are guidelines that have been applied in other online businesses and will work for your business too.
1. The first image in your business is your website. Keep it simple, well designed and well organized. Take a look at websites owned by companies you admire, notice how the design and the organization of the site. I admire apple.com.
2. The cheapest and sustainable way to find new visitors to you site is SEO. The more pages you get on the first page of the search engines, the more visitors you get.
3. Each visitor to your site is a potential customer. If any of them contacts you, respond to them promptly.
4. It is expensive getting a new client but it's cheaper retaining one. Make it an effort to make your customers come back.
5. Engage your visitors. Create content that will evoke a response from your readers. Create social media accounts and keep them active.
6. Set up and maintain a high quality mailing list. Ask your visitors to sign up for your newsletter and give them an incentive when they do.
7. Look for successful online businessmen you admire who can mentor you in your business.
8. Customer service is paramount. Give your customers a reason to come back. Repeat visitors will increase your business tremendously.
9. Add complementary products to yours on the "thank you" page. It will increase the income you get from each client.
10. Find stories from your clients to tell new prospects. It's not always about your products, it's about your clients and how their problems will be solved.
11. Be yourself and do not lose it because you are on a virtual platform. You are still interacting with people, who need a human interaction.
12. Do not oversell to your visitors. Many do not like a pushy salesperson in the offline market. They are no different online.
13. Get high quality backlinks to your website. These are links pointing to your site from reputable websites in your niche.
14. Feed your visitors with high quality information. This will help you build a reputation online.
15. Feed your website with original content. You wouldn't want to handle the consequences of plagiarism.
These can be summarized by:
"Let your originality - your specialness, your brand personality - come through in your online content" Ann Handley &C.C Chapman - Author, Content Rules

How To Get Free Legitimate Website Traffic

So you've created a website and you aren't getting any visitors? What should you do? Send traffic to your website! While sending traffic to your website can be expensive, it doesn't have to be. There are several free methods that you can employ to increase traffic to your website or opt-in page. Most of these options will take time to get the results you are looking for so be patient when starting out. Here are some of the most useful methods to get free traffic.
Social Media Sites - Social media sites are so valuable because they can be very effective in getting information to mass amounts of people. Almost everyone has a Facebook or Twitter account. These sites have millions of users that could potentially be your customers. On your profile pages, include a link to your website. Promote your website in your posts but be careful not to over-promote your website. You do want to drive traffic to your site but you don't want people to un-follow or un-friend you because they feel like they are being spammed. It's a fine line between friendship and shameless spamming. Don't just offer them a chance to view your site but also quality content.
Blogging and Article Writing - Blogging and article writing are both excellent ways to get traffic. Not only can you create your own content for blogging but you can use the blogging platform in other ways to increase traffic. Some great examples of this would be guest blogging and commenting on blogs. Article writing is another way to increase traffic. Always remember when writing articles or blog posts, keep your content unique and relevant. You want people to continue coming to your site even after they've found what they were originally searching for. Don't forget to include a link back to your site in the signature! And write consistently. It won't matter if you have unique content if you're not consistently updating.
Forums - A forum is a dedicated space for discussions about a particular subject. Join a forum that deals specifically in your niche. When you post comments or discussion topics in the forum, be sure to include a link to your page. This can also help you find new content for your blog posts or articles. It gives you an opportunity to see what people are talking about in your niche.
Freebies - Who doesn't like free stuff? Offer a free product, brochure or service to entice people to check out your site. This is a good way to earn customers. Just remember to make the freebie something that is worth people's attention. Don't give out junk.
SEO - Search Engine Optimization is one of the best ways to get traffic to your site. Think about how many times you use Google in one week. If you're like me, you probably use it at least once a day. If people search for your niche but can't find you, you're losing money! Make yourself easy to find through optimizing your site for search engines.

Online Marketing Business: Why Do Almost All Of You Fail?

Why do almost all people fail when starting their online marketing business or taking a broader perspective; fail at anything?
The most common answer is that people do not fail, they stop and quit.
So the question becomes why do people stop or, as I would put it, 'Get Stuck Or Defeated' and quit?
If you have a good idea that is within reach of your capabilities, a way to get good information to make that idea become a reality and you believe it will work; why is it that most of the time you never really make it happen?
In fact, the truth for most people is they never really even get started!
I feel that the two biggest factors that cause people to quit when it comes to their online marketing business are fear and the fact that it is not as easy as all of the marketing out there on this subject makes it sound. An online marketing business is a 'Business' meaning it does require you to learn and work at it on a consistent basis.
I break down the 'Fear' as a result of two separate factors.
For starting an online marketing business there is a massive amount of information and products and services out there and a lot of people have no idea where to start and confusion and fear immediately present themselves.
Imagine one of those 'Big Box Store Supercenters' stocked only with online marketing business materials. You walk in and you have no clue where to begin. Just deciding which product or service you will start with can be an overwhelming, mind numbing, energy draining and totally confusing experience.
Many people give up right at this point; there are just too many choices out there for their mind to process.
I'll give a little bit of personal advice here. Take 1 hour and look around, do a little research on the internet to find an online marketing business product or service that seems to make sense to you as far as using it as a starting point. Once that 1 hour is up make a decision and just start going through whatever material is presented there.
Odds are it won't be the best one for you, but the odds also favor that it won't be the worst. But the most important thing you have done is you have picked a starting point!
And that is very necessary because now you can start!
Once you start and learn all you can from that beginning choice in a few weeks you'll be better educated and have a much better background and therefore be able to more effectively judge which selection of material you wish to purchase next to advance your online marketing business in the direction that you want it to go.
The second 'Fear Factor' that wants to set in is when you look at the overall picture of what is needed for you to be successful and looking at it all at once it just seems so overwhelming that your mind screams 'AAAHHH!' and you back away.
What I would suggest you do is look at it in smaller bits in pieces. For example; what is necessary for me to do to inexpensively set up my own website?
Make a list of what you need to do to create your own website and then break it down into smaller pieces. Now look at one individual piece and suddenly it doesn't seem quite so scary and impossible. You realize you can do each individual piece taken one at a time.
You just need to learn to be 'Now' and not focus on all that lies ahead letting your mind start imagining a negative, overwhelming future. You merely start doing those little bits and pieces and just concentrate on completing each one and congratulating yourself when you do.
That is basically how everyone that is successful with an online marketing business maintains their sanity and manages to continue on. They get one little piece done and say "Great!" now I can move on to the next thing I need to do.
The phrase is 'The Road To Success' not 'The Driveway To Success' because it will take a little while but you can enjoy many small victories along the way.
And so what if it takes a little while? Isn't that the way with most of the things in life?
No one is ever really an overnight success. It just seems that way when someone suddenly bursts onto the scene in any field of study, career or endeavor; whatever you want to call it.
Let Me Compare Starting An Online Marketing Business With Running A Marathon:
If I were to ask you "Can you run a marathon?" Most of you would say "No."
But if I were to ask you, "Can you run half a mile a day for 52 days?"
Almost all of you would say, "Yes."
Well then, all of you could run a marathon.
Nobody said you have to do it in two hours.
So, yes, you can do it. You just need to change your perspective, the way you are looking at it, the way you are thinking about it. Just break it all down into small bites you can more easily wrap your head around.
In other words; just focus on running that half mile every day, step by step, and soon you'll have run that marathon.
By applying this attitude for a few days you might be surprised at how quickly you 'Get In To Shape' when it comes to applying yourself to developing your online marketing business!

Affiliate Marketing - Tips

These are tough times for all so many people are examining new ways to make some extra income. Affiliate marketing is certainly a genuine source of earnings; and the fact you never have to leave the comfort of your own home is a major plus. This commentary contains worthy information to aid you in building a successful and profitable affiliate site.
Endorse only high quality merchandise that you trust and believe. If the prospect determines that they can believe in what you market, they will be more likely to take your guidance in buying the new products that they are not familiar with. Keeping your product line specific to products you truly believe in and trust will keep your patrons believing in you as an expert.
A decent affiliate marketing firm will offer programs that are well documented and researched. They will also provide tested advertising copy that is effective and works. The program you join should be completely ready to generate sales.
Affiliate marketing isn't going to make you rich overnight. You must be persistent as many programs are designed to provide steady payoffs over time. The potential for financial achievement is high, but it pays to take an easy-going approach, as you will start making much of your income as you build a strong and loyal customer base.
Compose articles about the products or services you are endorsing. Make sure that include an affiliate link(s) in the text as to create valuable back linking your to blogs and websites. This is an important marketing strategy as back links will aid your SEO which helps create higher ranking on search engine results pages. This type of linking is considered organic linking (search engine friendly) and will help acquire a better targeted traffic to your affiliate pages.
Be sure to advertise your affiliate goods in more than one area. Adding a banner or link in one place is not enough to get the volume of sales you need. Diversify and look to other mediums for promotion. Look at email, classified ads, surfing sites and the like. There are many if you only do a little research.
Blogs and forums are a great way to generate interest and income. Make sure you stay as accessible to as many readers as possible. An eBook on a topic you are familiar with is another great marketing medium if you are so inclined, as you can sprinkle your affiliate links throughout the contents.
Maintain a list of ideas, successes and failures. The more detailed information you have, the greater the ease you will have to make improvements and constructive adjustments on your website or sales page.
An affiliate program will not be an immediate solution for all your financial woes. It's an outlay of time and effort that will be worth the investment in the long run. Be resolute, and flexible to try out some new methods you learn along the way, and when you are able meet and talk with someone who has been the trade for a while learn all you can. Withdetermination and patients affiliate marketing work for you.

The 7 Different Ways to Promote Your Website

1. Press Releases and News Releases - If you have an event coming up or a new product coming out that people would be very interested in, you can use press and news releases to your advantage. Be sure to include links to your website and products in the release. Once submitted, the article will remain in the databases and also boost traffic to your site.
2. Reciprocal Links - If used sparingly, reciprocal links can be beneficial to your business. Consider requesting from a smaller website and always choose one that will compliment your products and services.
3. Use Your Address - This may not work for everyone, especially if you are working from home but if you do have a physical business address, use it! When you include your address on your website, you will be entered into directories like Google Places and the like. People who are searching locally for your type of services or products will find you that much faster and easier.
4. Blog - Create a business blog for your website. If you are consistent in putting out great, interesting and valuable content, people will return time and time again to get more. And while they're there, they just might buy something!
5. Online Forums - Online forums are a great way to find and communicate with your target demographic. Be a participating member by joining in discussions and commenting on other's posts and questions. If you only use online forums as a way to sell, no one will take you seriously and you may even be banned from the site. One way to avoid this is by only commenting and posting relevant information and by adding your website information to your signature which displays at the bottom of any comment or post you write.
6. Use a signature in your emails - This is easy to do and can help customers find you if they have a support question. When customers feel like they can ask questions about the product and know they have someone they can contact through a phone number, they are more likely to want to purchase.
7. Email Newsletter - This is one of the more time consuming options on this list but it is worth it. You can use a bi-weekly or monthly email newsletter to develop a relationship with your customers and it can also be used to get new customers. If you have an opt-in page where people can sign up for your free weekly newsletter, you can build trust and later you might gain a customer. It's easy to set up an email newsletter as long as you're writing about something you know about and something that your customers will be interested in.

Importance of Keywords in Domain Names

A domain name plays a very important role in a company's branding, in building the customer's impression of the site and in some cases, it also helps to improve the site's rankings in search results. Thank to the increasing number of people who use the internet these days, it has become very important to use keywords in domain names in order to ensure that your site performs well. Keywords in the domain name can add an advantage to your site.
Importance of keywords
A phrase is considered to be a keyword when a large number of people search for that particular phrase in search engines. These words give business owners an idea of what people are searching for online. The chances of a person clicking on the link of your site and visiting it increase to a great extent if your site shows up in the search results when someone looks for a keyword. Your website will practically not exist for your users if it does not show up in search results when someone searches for a related keyword. While search engine optimization can help you improve your site's rankings and help it to show up in search results, if you have a keyword in your domain name, it will increase the chances of the site ranking better greatly.
Uses of domain keywords
  • Increases the visibility of the site considerably. Keywords will also give your customers and consumers an idea about what your site focuses on and what kind of business you deal in.
  • They are the simplest form of advertising your product and services online. If you keep relevant keywords in the domain name, it can help you generate more traffic to your site.
Advantages of domain keywords
  • Most of the times, when people link to a website or share its URL on social networking sites, they will share the domain name. At such a time, if your domain name contains a keyword, then it will act as the linking text to your website for all the incoming links. This will help your site's SEO a great deal and will contribute towards increasing its rankings.
  • Your domain name will speak for your site and its business if you include keywords in it. It will increase the chances of getting better business.
  • Using keywords in the domain name will help you stand apart in the large online industry. It will help people distinguish your site from other sites that offer similar products and services.
Disadvantages of domain keywords
  • If you have a very big business website, then adding just one keyword in your domain name may not do you any good. Your focus will be on increasing the rankings of all the keywords if you want a site as large as yours to do well and it may not be possible for you to include all these keywords in the domain name.
  • You may not get all the results that you expected from your site's rankings if you use long tail keywords in your domain name.
SEO is a field that is constantly undergoing some change or the other. It is important for you to be aware of the various changes that take place in this field in order to be successful in the online world. Using the correct keyword in your domain name will be one of the best ways to achieve this. 11 Tips To Get Repeat Customers

Business is all about maximizing your profits and one of the best ways to do this is to sell to people who already like you and are already customers of yours! It is far easier and less expensive to sell to the same customers again and again than it is to make a new customer. Repeat customers are also great for advertising for you. If they are happy with you and your product, they'll usually tell their friends. So, are you utilizing your client base to its fullest potential or are you getting forgotten and left behind for someone who is willing to keep up with their clients?
Here are 11 tips for getting customers to come back to your website:
1. Provide great content with real value. This should be a no brainer. Why would someone choose to come back to your website if you aren't providing them with interesting and valuable content? They wouldn't.
2. Update daily. Your content should be fascinating and fresh. I wouldn't go back to the same page more than once if I knew they weren't going to update it frequently. Would you?
3. A simple, appealing website. I know I've mentioned this before but it bears repeating. Potential customers and returning customers want an interface that is easy to navigate. Your links should be easy to find and working. Check all your links periodically to make sure they are going where they're supposed to go! Imagine how frustrated you would be if you went to a website hoping to purchase something only to find out you couldn't get to the purchase page.
4. Stay in contact with your customers. There are several ways to do this. You could send out a weekly newsletter, have a contest, use a comments or forums section on your site and/or use social media to stay in touch with your customers. You could even have a competition where your customers compete for a prize. Do something that makes sense for your website.
5. Always offer excellent customer service. Handle customer complaints efficiently and courteously.
6. Send an email confirmation after they order. I love getting receipts in my email box because if I have any questions or want to update my checkbook, I can look at the email I received. Within the email, you can recommend other products the customer might also enjoy.
7. Allow customers to review the items they purchased. Everyone wants to feel heard. Most people love giving their opinion and take on things.
8. Put social bookmarking buttons on your site so people can stay in touch with you via social media. You can also include buttons that make it easy for them to share a page on your website easily with friends.
9. Consider using a loyalty program where after a set number of purchases, they get a free product or discounted rate. Everyone loves to feel like they are important.
10. Run specials for a limited time.
11. Know your customers. This is the most important thing you can do for your business in general, not just to get repeat customers. Know what they like, what they don't like and what they're looking for. You must know who you customers are and what they want to have a thriving business.

How To Start An Online Business Requires an Entrepreneur Mindset

How to start an online business is something that requires lots of drive and persistence, but it is an easy thing when compared to most businesses. Now, let's clarify something. I am speaking mainly of the sole entrepreneur who decides to strike out on their own with a blog or website. We can look at some of these other larger models for comparative purposes. The bottom line here is that no matter what I say, you must assess your situation on its own.
The large websites, the "Web 2.0" social sites like Facebook, Digg, Reddit, etc. These are huge sites that became companies. They have lots of computer servers, datacenters, and employees. They require offices and online security. They might be able to be started in a garage or a house, but once they get popular they have to scale up quickly into larger spaces to handle the huge load that internet popularity brings with it. Are you ready to undertake such a venture? Well, if you are a young programmer with a great idea and maybe a few trusted partners or associates, then perhaps you can pull that off. Good luck.
There are also online shops, and these can range from the private website hosting it's own catalog and ecommerce setup, to hosted shops like those hosted by Amazon and eBay, or even Cafepress and others. Etsy also comes to mind. These are great for the people who have hard merchandise to sell. It's a lot of work but rewarding for those who are a good fit for it and checking how to start an online business.
Auction sites are also popular for selling goods and there is a breed that makes a living at it. If you are a hustler, you can make a living buying and selling merchandise on the likes of eBay and Craigslist. Those are the most popular but there are smaller ones. Some people also use the discussion forum sales forums for their products. These are usually specific topic or merchandise based, like wristwatch collectors or music box collectors. You look for sites that cater to those specific collectors and there is usually a sales forum attached where you can list items for sale.
There are affiliate sales too. This is when a company offers a product or service for sale and enlists an army of affiliates who promote it and drive traffic back to the offer in exchange for a commission. There are lots of different affiliate offers and many different commission models, as well as rules on how you can market the offers. Some won't let you use their trademarked names in URL's or offer pages, for example. So, check all of this out when asking yourself about how to start an online business.
Internet marketing is another area that can actually educate yo in how to start an online business, which is closely related to affiliate sales. You can be an internet marketer who promotes an affiliate or affiliate offers, or you may have your own IM product or service that you sell from your own site. Perhaps you even enlist the aid of your own affiliates to widen your market reach in exchange for some of the sale profits. This has made people rich.
Then there are affiliates who are also part of a multilevel or network marketing system where they build teams and organizations and get residual and pass up sales based on business created under their organization. When pondering how to stat an online business, this is by far the most lucrative and scalable option to big money if you know how to market these products and/or offers to the masses and drive traffic back to the offer, all while building your team and teaching them to duplicate, as well as teaching them to also team build. This has made people incomes in the tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars per month. Of course not everyone who signs on to these succeeds, but that is mainly due to not doing it right, or not being persistent enough and quitting too early.
There are probably other internet business types, like various consulting services, paid surfing, and other systems, but if I tried to list and write on them all then this article would be much larger than my target scope.
I hope that this helps you to weigh the options when it comes to being an internet entrepreneur when asking how to start an online business.

Utilizing a blog on the company's website offers an effective way of developing internal links leading to the web pages you seek to rank highly in the organic search engines. Therefore, it is important to consider quality articles in the blog every week. In addition to building internal links, the blog helps to keep the company's website fresh. This helps to rank the website highly in the preferred search engine. It helps to increase the size of the site as well as the Page Rank controlled by your website.
· Try guest blogging
You may consider contacting blogs within your industry and express your desire to post a guest blog. Depending on the blog you chose to write for, the company's website is likely to generate massive exposure by simply appearing on their blogs. You may also consider linking back to the company's website in the articles body. Alternatively, you may consider featuring a short bio that you can consider placing a link.
· Submit the company's site to the website directories
Although bulk submissions to directories are not always effective, the opportunity to get the company's site listed to high authority directories helps with SEO rankings. Therefore, it is important to find directories in your industry and your country- and get listed. It is equally important to consider paid directories like Yahoo Directories to get listed. You may consider submitting your site to the directories your competitors are listed in.

SEO Trends in 2014

Without a doubt, one of the hardest online markets to master if you are a service provider is Search Engine Optimisation, or SEO. The information and algorithms are constantly changing and making the entire way you rank for search engine places completely different. The tools you use, the upcoming trends and the little corner cutting methods to improve your SEO rank is all something that an SEO guru has to learn.
If you either provide SEO, or thinking about providing SEO, or need some SEO work for your website, then you need to know what the expected 2013 trends are with regards to SEO which help you grow your business, whether that is by getting the right traffic or by improving your service quality to a whole new level;
Conversion Rate Optimization - This is extremely important. Part of selling your products and services efficiently is the process of providing your customers unique and actionable content, but also by bringing them a sales funnel they cannot say no to. Plenty of websites out there sell products and get waves of traffic, but they have a poor sales funnel and therefore do not see high conversion rates. Analytics reviews and various tweaks to your website layout and the way information is viewed by the client will be edited to provide you with a ready-made sales funnel which is bound to increase conversion rates.
Local Listings - Local listings are a goldmine for specific businesses, especially if you work in a service area like manual labour or decoration. If you can have active and professional local listings pages, then you will be able to provide a basis on which to release all of your public information and news to your viewers on a host of different platforms. When people see your local listings are being viewed and are updated regularly, they will flock to your website and thus potentially bring you customers. Local listings are becoming a huge way of rating a business and seeing how good they are, due to the lack of faith in the online review system at present.
Social Media - Although in the last two or three years, Social Media has seen a huge growth, there are expected to be seismic shifts in the importance of SEO in relation to Social Media. It is extremely powerful to build a reputation quickly and give yourself a following of pre-sold clients. Social Media will become a key player in traffic and conversion over the next year, as the importance of quality content and an active Social Media section to your business can drive you on in the future, due to the natural power of SEO.
Google+ - As expected, one of Google' very own projects is a key player in the process towards of dominating for your keywords. Using clicks from Google+ to bring you clients is going to be a very effective way to bring in new users, as Google+ is beginning to not only see huge volumes of traffic, but is being integrated into SEO. With Facebook and Twitter receiving huge natural SEO due to the number of users, Google+ is quickly becoming a huge factor in that, too. Plus, with it being a Google tool, it will be indexed better with search engines - so get yourself a quality Google+ profile for your business.
Content Management - It is vital now, since the change in algorithms over the last few years, to have quality content. Previously, mundane content with no real flow or explanation could pass as good backlinks if it was full of keywords and links. Now, this is not the case. You are expected to provide your users quality, unique content which can give them relevant information while building appropriate inbound links in moderation.
ROI and Backlinks - When creating backlinks across the web, there is more to it than pinning your name across the whole web. Linking a cooking website on a wrestling forum is going to do you very little favours in terms of ROI. Solid, relevant backlinks also provide you with better website rankings on Alexa and similar websites.
Page Ranking: Page rankings are a very important part of the website business. Small business owners are extremely conscious of their pagerank. A pagerank is a rating given to your website regarding its quality and how useful the information on the website is. In 2013, this is changing to an 'Author Rank' and an 'Agent Rank'. This means that your website will be based on the quality of the entire page, and this decides on the overall ranking of your whole website. This means that when hiring quality writers, you need to ensure that you are dealing with quality, dedicated and experienced writers to ensure your content is optimised and relevant.
SEO is more important than ever to the health of a business and their activity. With a strong internet presence, you can create a powerful and reliable part of your business which brings in clients on auto-pilot and can create an extremely valuable part of your business that you barely even have to work with.

Increasing Affiliate Marketing Traffic

If you're into affiliate marketing and you are looking for ways to increase traffic to your website, then you don't need to look very far. Consider what you're selling - some good or service which people will potentially need at one point or another. There are very likely complementary goods or services which go along with whatever you're selling. There are many solid examples of this, one of which will be covered momentarily, but it's important to first make clear just what a powerful tool this networking is. Every marketing firm began small. Remember that while you work on growing the size of your own.
Let's say you are selling tractors. Farmers and homeowners with plenty of grass to mow are going to be your most likely customers, though other people will be looking for tractors sometimes too. Consider the other things farmers look for, like seeds, tools, generators and more. Now think about what the rich homeowner could be lacking; quality help, cars and other things around the house. Advertising your tractors on websites selling any of the preceding is an excellent way to tell more potentially interested people about what you're selling. By doing the same for those websites, your cross promotion can help both businesses boom.
This has long been a favorite tactic of affiliate marketing companies everywhere. Anyone who has something to sell and isn't in direct competition with another company is in a position to get some free advertising. Not every marketing rep you call up is going to go for this, but many will. For those who don't, you could always try giving them the hard sale. However you make it happen, this kind of cross promotion is sure to increase affiliate marketing traffic for you. Bringing more people to your website is easier than you might think.
Selling your products on other websites besides the one you have set up can also increase awareness of what you're selling. For instance, if you sell your goods on eBay, Amazon and through other highly popular retailers, more people are naturally going to see them. A great tactic is to make these secondary sales cost more than buying the item directly from your website. In that case, you can win even if you fail to make a sale. It's not advisable to continue doing this once you have established yourself, but any publicity is good at first.

How I Make Money Buying And Selling Domain Names

For my initial post on this blog, what better way to start out than to offer an in depth guide on making money buying and selling domain names.
I got started investing in domains in early 2009. Since that time, I have learned a lot from my experiences, as well as from tips other domain investors have shared.buying selling domains
These are the methods that I use. Many others use very different techniques. My suggestion is take this information and combine it with what you already know, and carve your own path. It is a competitive market so try and be creative to find different angles on things.
I don’t know your knowledge or experience level. You may already know quite a bit about domain names or you may know nothing at all. With that being said, I am going to start with the basics, and explain everything I know about domain investing.

Before We Get Started…

I would like to first point out that I am by no means wealthy from flipping domains. However, I am able to make a consistent, steady profit each month from doing so. If you are looking to find out how to become a millionaire selling domains, you should look elsewhere. If you want to learn an interesting, exciting way to generate some additional income, then you are in the right place.
Second, I concentrate on “keyword rich” domains as opposed to brandable type names. For example, I prefer domains like CarParts.com, NewYorkLawyer.com, or MarketingSoftware.com. These types of domains have search volume, cost per click, and a healthy list of targeted potential end users (specific people or companies who may be interested in purchasing the domain).
On the other hand, there are brandable domains. These types of names continue to sell better than keyword rich names over the last year or so. If you look at the weekly sales lists, they are full of brandable domains. Some examples of brandable domains include BlueLion.com, Vizio.com, ClickHotel.com, MagicMarket.com, etc. Generally, these are one or two words and under 15 characters long.

IT'S POSSIBLE! MAKE SUCCESS IN 2013!

Purchasing Domain Name Tips

Before you could establish your internet business, you have to purchase a domain name. Purchasing a domain is very essential. Therefore, you have to buy it from the certified registrar. The recognized registrars have to pay some charges to ICANN for every domain name bought and then eventually vend the names to several customers at varying costs.
At present, leading registrars accredited to ICANN offer identity protection online, Domain supervision that includes registration of domain, e-mails, hosting and linked services while trading domain names at competitive costs. Since services presented play a great role in selecting the registrar who is accredited, it is vital to review the offered services. It is suggested to buy from larger registrars, since they possess the communications to give better services. Not every registrar gives similar uses.
While choosing a registrar one must focus equally to the short and long-term necessities. At the first stage, you could be searching for one domain name only. However, as your company develops you may need several domains later. Thus a cheaper domain may seem fine at the first stages, although they will not be capable of giving skillful technical help afterward. A relevant query to ask is regarding the specialized assistance given by them. If you are contented then you decide to buy domain from them.
The certified registrars provide thirty days note prior to the expiration period and inform you about the renewal period. Therefore, you are guaranteed that you will not lose the name because of default. Reliability and security of domains are certain once you buy from certified registrars, since they assign the domain name to you up to the time you are listed with. The security of domain is a helpful service and must not be ignored when you buy domains.
The registrars provide the host services if ever you choose to purchase domain name. However, careful assessment of the need of the uses has to be executed before having the ultimate decision. Sufficient control over the domain permits the clients to select the web host. Therefore, if some companies are offering services for web host once you buy domain name from them. It is unwise to get the domain from them since it is your right to select the web host provider of service.
Registration of domain with a fastidious registrar essentially does not mean that you must take all of their services. It is the privilege to choose what you like from them. Web host service supplier and domain registrar can be dissimilar persons picked by you.

Get The Results You Want From Your Website

Are you not getting the results you want out of your website? Could you unknowingly be turning away potential customers? We're going to look at a couple of things that could be causing you to lose customers and money. Don't worry though because once you know what your mistake is, it's easy to fix it and optimize your website.
When you first land on your website, what do you notice right away? What do you think your customer notices? Some novices when creating their website create a page that instantly attacks the prospect with pop-up ads or a loud playing video they can't turn off. Other create web pages that take forever to load, giving their potential customers ample time to decide they don't want to wait and leave to find another website.
Another thing that can turn away people is not having an easy to navigate site. Your website should have clear navigation links that are easy to find. If your reader gets lost, they may decide to leave instead of trying to tangle their way out of the mess. Not only should your links to navigate your page be easy to find but you should also seriously consider never changing the location they're in. This is for your return readers. If you have people who come to your site regularly, you don't want to frustrate them by moving the essentials around.
Also, take a look at your content. Is your content relevant and up to date? If your content is old, this could be why people aren't staying on your website. It's also a bad idea to use old content with the current date. Readers will find out and this can ruin your reputation. Don't do it! It's bad practice.
Now as you look at your website, are you distracted by advertisements like pop-up ads and banners? Is there flashing text and constant interruption? If so, let me ask you... what do you do when you come across a website like this? You probably don't stay around to see if it has great content. You probably just exit out quickly and find another website, right? Don't aggravate your readers by using too many advertisements.
Lastly, check your website for spelling, grammatical errors and broken links. No one will take you seriously if your website is full of errors like these that are so easy to fix. It gives the impression that you are too lazy or too stupid to do spell-check. It's very unprofessional and can easily turn away potential customers.
It's not hard to change your website to maximize your visitors and money. You only need to look at your website from a new perspective. Take the time to go through your website like you are a new visitor. Go to other websites and see what strikes you as helpful and what strikes you as unappealing. Then you can go back to your website and see if you are doing the same things. Once you've done that, go back through your website and look at it through the eyes of someone who has been to your website several times before. Is there anything you can change to make your website even better from this aspect? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to make these changes, just a little time and effort.

How to Choose a Good Website Hosting Company Properly

Finding a good website hosting company is essential, because once you have designed and made a good company website, getting it live and keeping it live on the internet are hugely important to making it a successful website. When choosing a website hosting company, do not just go for the company which offers the lowest price, because this company may not necessarily be offering you the best value for money!
Before you commit to having your website hosted by any company, you should look closely at a few different companies so that you can get a good idea about what is on offer on the market and what you can expect from those hosting companies. It may be a good idea to consider your needs, such as how much bandwidth you will need, how much traffic you are expecting and whether or not you need personalised company email addresses associated with your website. You can then make a shortlist of some of the companies that fit these needs, so that you can easily compare the companies. It may also be a good idea to quickly read some reviews of these hosting companies to see what other users think. Look especially closely at how good their customer services is, and how much downtime the (former) customers say that the hosting company experiences, because these two things can really affect the experiences that you have with them. The more down time the hosting company experiences, the less time your website will spend live on the internet, and this can be really bad for your business.
Choose a website hosting company which offers 24 hour customer service and 24 hour access to your website, as it is unlikely that you will only need support during your (or their) hours of business operation. Being able to access and update your website 24 hours a day means that you can add new content whenever you want, and that you can rectify any mistakes as soon as you spot them, rather than having to wait until the next day. 24 hour customer services will ensure that you can get your questions answered by a human as soon as possible, rather than waiting days for an unsatisfactory, automated email response.
You should also decide whether you need a dedicated hosting plan, or whether a shared hosting plan will work. Shared hosting services are much less expensive than dedicated hosting services because more than one website is being hosted on that server, so the costs associated with having a web server are being shared between multiple companies. As a rule, most small business websites will be fine on shared hosting plans, unless you are expecting to get thousands of hits a day. If you have no idea of the amount of traffic you are likely to get, it can be a good idea to choose a shared hosting plan at first, with the possibility to upgrade to a dedicated hosting plan if you do get a large amount of traffic.
