15 Online Business Tips You Can't Ignore

Several times I have started and stopped businesses online because I thought I can make it without online business tips. I know many are like me, perhaps you are. Thousands of people start online businesses on a daily basis, but very few succeed. We think that online business is simpler than offline business and should be a walk in the park. Don't be deceived!
The good news is, running a business on the internet is simpler than running it offline; however it's not as simple as it can be assumed. Since it is a business, it has challenges just like any other business. The better part is that here are guidelines that have been applied in other online businesses and will work for your business too.
1. The first image in your business is your website. Keep it simple, well designed and well organized. Take a look at websites owned by companies you admire, notice how the design and the organization of the site. I admire apple.com.
2. The cheapest and sustainable way to find new visitors to you site is SEO. The more pages you get on the first page of the search engines, the more visitors you get.
3. Each visitor to your site is a potential customer. If any of them contacts you, respond to them promptly.
4. It is expensive getting a new client but it's cheaper retaining one. Make it an effort to make your customers come back.
5. Engage your visitors. Create content that will evoke a response from your readers. Create social media accounts and keep them active.
6. Set up and maintain a high quality mailing list. Ask your visitors to sign up for your newsletter and give them an incentive when they do.
7. Look for successful online businessmen you admire who can mentor you in your business.
8. Customer service is paramount. Give your customers a reason to come back. Repeat visitors will increase your business tremendously.
9. Add complementary products to yours on the "thank you" page. It will increase the income you get from each client.
10. Find stories from your clients to tell new prospects. It's not always about your products, it's about your clients and how their problems will be solved.
11. Be yourself and do not lose it because you are on a virtual platform. You are still interacting with people, who need a human interaction.
12. Do not oversell to your visitors. Many do not like a pushy salesperson in the offline market. They are no different online.
13. Get high quality backlinks to your website. These are links pointing to your site from reputable websites in your niche.
14. Feed your visitors with high quality information. This will help you build a reputation online.
15. Feed your website with original content. You wouldn't want to handle the consequences of plagiarism.
These can be summarized by:
"Let your originality - your specialness, your brand personality - come through in your online content" Ann Handley &C.C Chapman - Author, Content Rules

17 Revenue Sharing Websites

Revenue sharing websites are a good opportunity to earning money online. Getting a site that would share revenue with you would be an answered prayer to making quick money online. When it comes to making money online, article writing is the easiest way for any beginner to get started.
I started with article writing and it wasn't easy finding clients. The complaints from unsatisfied customers weren't lightly taken either, I almost gave up. After learning the hard way, I came to learn that there are sites that would pay you to share content with them. This was much easier than finding clients.
I decided to compile the list for others just to help them avoid what I went through. Here they are:
1. HubPages - This is one of the popular websites that share revenue with its contributors. It is also great for backlinking. You can monetize it with Kontera, Amazon and EBay. The AdSence share is 60%.
2. Squidoo - This site is great for sharing articles. Furthermore, it is also good for niche sites backlinks. However, their system for sharing content is quite complicated.
3. Infobarrel - This is a new one and has quite much potential to grow. The highest earner on this site earns around $1500. My average earning this year has been around $90. The AdSense share on this site is about 75% to 90%.
4. Xomba - This is a high-ranking bookmarking site that shares 50% of its AdSense Revenue with you. However, they no longer allow links to your own content.
5. Bukisa - Is an article site that shares 60% of its revenue with contributors, either through AdSense or Chitika.
6. Snipsly - It shares 80% of its AdSense revenue.
7. SquidStop - This is a social bookmarking site gives 100% of AdSense revenue share to you.
8. Jevitt - It is also a Social bookmarking site that shares 80% of its AdSense revenue.
9. Seekyt - This is an article sharing site. Its' main sources of income are through Amazon and AdSense and shares 70% of it.
10. SheToldMe - Is a social bookmarking site that gives 100% of AdSense revenue to you.
11. Best Reviewer - This site is a collection of "top lists". An example would be "Top 15 Ways To... " You earn 100% of the AdSense revenue.
12. TipDrop - Is a social bookmarking site where you earn 75% of the revenue share.
13. Flixya - This site allows you to share photos, videos and blogs and keep 100% of the revenue.
14. Tagfoot - Is a social bookmarking site as well as any other content that can be shared. You get to keep 50% of the AdSense revenue earned.
15. OnGoBee - This is a social bookmarking site that allows you to keep 60% of the revenue earned from AdSense.
16. RateItAll - Allows you to write reviews and rate products. You get to keep 50% of the AdSense revenue from your content.
17. Mixx - Allows you to share articles, videos and photos and get to keep 50% of the AdSense revenue.

How To Start An Online Business Requires an Entrepreneur Mindset

How to start an online business is something that requires lots of drive and persistence, but it is an easy thing when compared to most businesses. Now, let's clarify something. I am speaking mainly of the sole entrepreneur who decides to strike out on their own with a blog or website. We can look at some of these other larger models for comparative purposes. The bottom line here is that no matter what I say, you must assess your situation on its own.
The large websites, the "Web 2.0" social sites like Facebook, Digg, Reddit, etc. These are huge sites that became companies. They have lots of computer servers, datacenters, and employees. They require offices and online security. They might be able to be started in a garage or a house, but once they get popular they have to scale up quickly into larger spaces to handle the huge load that internet popularity brings with it. Are you ready to undertake such a venture? Well, if you are a young programmer with a great idea and maybe a few trusted partners or associates, then perhaps you can pull that off. Good luck.
There are also online shops, and these can range from the private website hosting it's own catalog and ecommerce setup, to hosted shops like those hosted by Amazon and eBay, or even Cafepress and others. Etsy also comes to mind. These are great for the people who have hard merchandise to sell. It's a lot of work but rewarding for those who are a good fit for it and checking how to start an online business.
Auction sites are also popular for selling goods and there is a breed that makes a living at it. If you are a hustler, you can make a living buying and selling merchandise on the likes of eBay and Craigslist. Those are the most popular but there are smaller ones. Some people also use the discussion forum sales forums for their products. These are usually specific topic or merchandise based, like wristwatch collectors or music box collectors. You look for sites that cater to those specific collectors and there is usually a sales forum attached where you can list items for sale.
There are affiliate sales too. This is when a company offers a product or service for sale and enlists an army of affiliates who promote it and drive traffic back to the offer in exchange for a commission. There are lots of different affiliate offers and many different commission models, as well as rules on how you can market the offers. Some won't let you use their trademarked names in URL's or offer pages, for example. So, check all of this out when asking yourself about how to start an online business.
Internet marketing is another area that can actually educate yo in how to start an online business, which is closely related to affiliate sales. You can be an internet marketer who promotes an affiliate or affiliate offers, or you may have your own IM product or service that you sell from your own site. Perhaps you even enlist the aid of your own affiliates to widen your market reach in exchange for some of the sale profits. This has made people rich.
Then there are affiliates who are also part of a multilevel or network marketing system where they build teams and organizations and get residual and pass up sales based on business created under their organization. When pondering how to stat an online business, this is by far the most lucrative and scalable option to big money if you know how to market these products and/or offers to the masses and drive traffic back to the offer, all while building your team and teaching them to duplicate, as well as teaching them to also team build. This has made people incomes in the tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars per month. Of course not everyone who signs on to these succeeds, but that is mainly due to not doing it right, or not being persistent enough and quitting too early.
There are probably other internet business types, like various consulting services, paid surfing, and other systems, but if I tried to list and write on them all then this article would be much larger than my target scope.
I hope that this helps you to weigh the options when it comes to being an internet entrepreneur when asking how to start an online business.

Top Ten Mistakes of ClickBank Review Websites

Developing a website for ClickBank reviews is a popular disguise that affiliates use to create sales from buyers who are searching for the truth with regards to a specific ClickBank product. This can be particularly true due to the fact that a lot of products on the ClickBank marketplace (particularly items related to making money) are of the 'too good to be true' variety. People today have a need to figure out if an item is for real by reading honest ClickBank reviews, and there are thousands of internet marketers who're anxious to tell consumers 'the truth' about these goods.
Unfortunately, for consumers (and for ClickBank), most ClickBank review web pages are doing things all wrong, and deliver no real value to the consumer. This tends to make ClickBank products appear more like 'scams', and has an unfavorable impact on the internet marketing community.
Based on my experience in wanting to develop my own ClickBank review web-site, here are the top 10 mistakes that I'm attempting to avoid:
1.) Not Being Sincere about ClickBank Product Reviews
Most ClickBank product review websites I've visited are essentially duplicating the content of the product sales page, which is always full of extremely unrealistic expectations and testimonials that present the item as better than it truly is. Be sincere with your buyers in all regards, give them beneficial information about what to expect, and people far more likely to buy from you.
2.) Not Using Rich Media for ClickBank Reviews Like Pictures and Video
ClickBank product review sites that are composed of long paragraphs of text are neither exciting, nor engaging for the audience. Individuals are more likely to commit to a purchase if they're engaged through content that consists of videos and graphics.
3.) Not Having Sufficient Knowledge of a ClickBank Product Prior to Reviewing It for an Audience
In order to help other people understand the truth about a product listed on the ClickBank marketplace, you have to learn all the details. It is tempting to write a bunch of content about product just for the sake of having more content, but in order to gain the trust of potential clients, it's essential to demonstrate your knowledge.
4.) Not Engaging the Audience by Leveraging Social Media Channels
To build the validity of your site as well as your expertise, you have to demonstrate that you have gone the extra mile by attempting to engage your customers through other social media. Any honest online enterprise must have established profiles on the various social networks in order to be recognized as an authority on the subject matter.
5.) Not Creating Original ClickBank Product Reviews
For those who plan to develop a ClickBank product review site by buying articles or scraping articles from other sources, you're most likely to run into quite a few issues. Search engines (and people) are usually seeking for one thing: unique and authentic content that comes from passionate people.
6.) Not Looking Professional
Any internet site is destined to fall short if it looks like it was built from a cookie cutter WordPress web template or from canned CSS obtained from another website. Commit your time and energy into learning the fundamentals of web development, and style your site based on other modern websites that follow best practices.
An excellent place to get started is usually to locate a website which you pay a visit to frequently, and study the layout and design. Do not copy the style, but use it as inspiration as you craft your site identity.
7.) Underestimating Your Audience
Your buyers know when they are getting pitched to. Let the truth do the talking and focus your reviews on products that work and improve the lives of the consumer.
8.) Not Providing More Information than is available on the Product Sales Page
Go into as much detail as you can to ensure that the consumers reading your evaluations find out more about an item than they can discover from anywhere else on the web. Become the authority for a product and people will direct potential buyers to your website simply because you have the most beneficial information.
9.) Using the Same Template for Every Review
A lot of ClickBank review websites are put into place by individuals who think that adding new content implies a copy, paste, spin, and edit cycle. I won't call out any specific websites, but if you see that all the reviews follow the exact same structure, you know that these reviews were generated in a 'factory' and not created by real users who have genuine passion and interest in the product.
10.) Not Admitting that you are Trying to Sell the Product
At the risk of repeating other bullet points, I'll reiterate that most visitors will know that your 'review' website is also an affiliate website that's trying to sell to them. Be upfront about it, announce it to your guests, and thank them for their interest and willingness to help you succeed in your endeavor.
If you are thinking of getting into this niche and developing your own ClickBank reviews website, do the world a favor and make it a better place by offering value for your website visitors. Without offering value for your potential consumers, you'll not have the ability to build relationships, and you'll be destined for failure.

Increasing Affiliate Marketing Traffic

If you're into affiliate marketing and you are looking for ways to increase traffic to your website, then you don't need to look very far. Consider what you're selling - some good or service which people will potentially need at one point or another. There are very likely complementary goods or services which go along with whatever you're selling. There are many solid examples of this, one of which will be covered momentarily, but it's important to first make clear just what a powerful tool this networking is. Every marketing firm began small. Remember that while you work on growing the size of your own.
Let's say you are selling tractors. Farmers and homeowners with plenty of grass to mow are going to be your most likely customers, though other people will be looking for tractors sometimes too. Consider the other things farmers look for, like seeds, tools, generators and more. Now think about what the rich homeowner could be lacking; quality help, cars and other things around the house. Advertising your tractors on websites selling any of the preceding is an excellent way to tell more potentially interested people about what you're selling. By doing the same for those websites, your cross promotion can help both businesses boom.
This has long been a favorite tactic of affiliate marketing companies everywhere. Anyone who has something to sell and isn't in direct competition with another company is in a position to get some free advertising. Not every marketing rep you call up is going to go for this, but many will. For those who don't, you could always try giving them the hard sale. However you make it happen, this kind of cross promotion is sure to increase affiliate marketing traffic for you. Bringing more people to your website is easier than you might think.
Selling your products on other websites besides the one you have set up can also increase awareness of what you're selling. For instance, if you sell your goods on eBay, Amazon and through other highly popular retailers, more people are naturally going to see them. A great tactic is to make these secondary sales cost more than buying the item directly from your website. In that case, you can win even if you fail to make a sale. It's not advisable to continue doing this once you have established yourself, but any publicity is good at first.

Discover The Hidden Power Of Social Bookmarking

Just what exactly is social bookmarking? Social bookmarking sites like Delicious, Reddit, Digg and StumbleUpon, are online services that let users add, edit and share bookmarks of documents on the web. The wonderful thing about these sites is that you can use them to help your business in several different ways.

If your content is ranked high enough on a social bookmarking site, you can get increased targeted traffic to your website or blog. It is important to remember that your content can get downvoted on some sites, which can hurt your online reputation. The best way to counteract this is to only post relevant and interesting content. Also, by having social bookmaker buttons on your website, you will increase the likelihood that someone will post your content to a social bookmarking site. Some users will even post your content on several bookmarking sites.

Not only will you get traffic from users of the site but you will also get faster indexing from search engines. When you are posted on a social bookmarking site, you have more backlinks to your site. This gives you extra chances to show up on searches. Say hello to free search engine optimization! Any time you have the opportunity to spread your name around the web for free (and legitimately), you should take it. The higher number of quality backlinks, the better your website will rank on search engines.

Take note to tag properly when adding a link to a site. Tagging allows other readers to find your link easily by searching for the relevant key words. Take for instance this article. If I were to upload this article to a social bookmarking site, I would want to add some relevant tags like "internet marketing" and/or "social bookmarking". This would insure that readers interested in those topics could find my article quickly.

Another important thing to remember when using social bookmarking as an internet marketing strategy is that it's a bad idea to only post your content to these sites. People will consider you to be a source of spam if you are only promoting yourself and your links. Get engaged and be a participant on all levels of social bookmarking sites but posting not only your own content but other people's as well. The last thing you want to do is ruin your online reputation by being seen as a spammer.

Now there are a lot of social bookmarking sites out there but some of the most popular include Delicious, Reddit, Digg and StumbleUpon. Delicious has a very simple interface without a lot of fancy bells and whistles but a lot of content. Reddit is a site where you can post anything and then other users will either upvote or downvote the content you've posted. Digg is another place to find the most talked about links on the web, where users "digg" or upvote the links they like the best. StumbleUpon has a different twist on the idea by giving you one page at a time that you can either stay on and read more about or swipe to the next article. There are many other social bookmarking sites available to you but these are some of the most prominent.

Lastly, take the time to research each site before deciding whether it would be worth your time to promote your content on this site. You may find that some sites won't work for your niche but others will. Your target niche audience may not be on one site but on another. Don't waste your time promoting if your target audience isn't there!

How I Made $1000 From A Domain Without Selling It

In most cases, when I make make money with a domain name, it is the result of me buying the name at a relatively low price and then selling it for a higher one. However, today I want to tell the story on how I was able to make $1000 with a domain without having to sell it.

While I do think this is a rare case and most likely something that will never happen again, I do think that there are a couple of valuable lessons to be learned. And, if you enjoy making money with domains as much as I do, you might find the story somewhat interesting. So, let’s get to it.

What Happened

One Wednesday, late last summer, I got up early and began sending out emails to potential end users for a solar related domain that I had recently acquired. After sending out about ten emails, I received a reply back:
email1
Wow, not what I was expecting. But I was intrigued. While I can not divulge what the domain was, I can say that it was a premium, three letter dot com.
Even though the domain was not something I was accustomed to dealing with, I went ahead and replied anyway, “Sure, do you have a price in mind?”
email2
Well, needless to say, he had my full attention now. I stopped for a moment to laugh at the whole situation.
For one, I had no idea if this guy was legit. So I immediately checked the whoisof the name and it matched up with the guy’s name. So that at least checked out.
Second, here I was pitching a domain that I hoped to get $300-$500 for and I end up with this reply. A potential deal that could yield $20,000? Unreal.
And, finally, I knew that this domain was out of my league. It was obvious the domain was worth a lot of money, but over $100,000? I was not so sure. To make things more complicated, I had no idea who would buy this type of domain for that amount of money.
I decided to finish sending out the emails for the solar domain and then look into it further. “Ok, I will see what I can do,” I told him.
“Thanks. Have fun with it,” he replied.

What I Did

As soon as I got done sending out the emails, the first thing I did was start looking through three letter domain sales from the last couple of years at sites like NameBio.com and DNSalePrice.com. There were quite a few to look over, but I was still having a hard time determining whether the domain was worth over $100k.
As I mentioned this was a premium three letter dot com domain. We are not talking a name like jxq.com. That is a fine domain worth several thousand dollars. But the name this guy presented was all good letters and I knew it was worth a hefty amount. But how much, I just did not know.
Next, I looked on Google to see if there were any obvious potential end users for the domain. If I saw someone who looked like they might be interested, I figured I could maybe contact them to gauge their interest. Unfortunately, nothing stood out.
I was stumped and somewhat frustrated. Here I was with what seemed like a great opportunity, but frankly, I really had no idea what to do. I was overmatched and I needed help. After giving it much thought, I decided my best move was to reach out to a professional domain broker.
I had never dealt with a domain broker before, nor had I ever spoken to one. However, I was familiar with a few names from reading domain blogs and forums. I decided to do a little more research on them. And then, I would reach out to the one that seemed the most professional and trustworthy.
After concluding my research, I decided to contact the broker that I had selected and sent the following email:
Hello XXXXX,
This morning while reaching out to potential end users for a domain I own, I received a reply back from a gentleman who owns the domain name XXXXXX. He informed me that he is the owner of the domain and asked me if I would like to try and sell it for him. I told him I would look into it. He told me he is looking for offers over $100,000 and is willing to pay a 20% commission. He also said that he has received several offers in the $50,000 range.
I am contacting you because I know that you are a reputable domain broker and I don’t have the contacts, resources, or experience to sell a domain such as this one. I’m also not sure if this domain would fetch a price over $100,000. Thanks for your time.
Regards,
Alan Mero
The broker replied to me a couple of hours later. He informed me that he did think that he could sell the domain for that amount and asked me how I would like to proceed. At that point I decided it was best to hand it off from there. I sent him the domain owner’s contact information so that he could get in touch with him.
After I provided the broker the owner’s information, he told me that he would pay me a referral commission if he was able to sell the domain. While I did not request this, I had a feeling that if I chose a good broker, he would offer such a deal.

The Result

A week later, I saw the domain listed for sale for over $100,000 on a domain blog and a newsletter that I received. Wow, I thought to myself. A couple of weeks later, I saw the domain listed again, but with the price reduced. And, a couple of weeks after that, I saw the price reduced again.
After another month or so, I had pretty much forgotten about it. I had not seen the domain listed for sale anywhere and I had not heard back from the broker. When I checked the whois, it was still owned by the original owner. I figured that they just weren’t able to reach a deal. Oh well.
Later that winter, I received an unexpected email from the broker informing me that the domain had in fact been sold. The figure was below the original asking price, but a private deal had been reached.
The broker informed me of the commission that he received and told me that I was due a referral fee. I was then sent a Paypal payment for $1000.

What I Learned

So what did I learn from all of this? A couple of things. For one, take advantage of situations when they present themselves. I imagine some would have been more aggressive then I was and maybe have tried to sell the domain on their own.
However, as I mentioned, domains such as these usually take contacts and resources that domain investors on my level don’t normally have. I don’t have any regrets on how I handled it.
Also, try and do business with good people. The broker did not have to give me a commission or the more than fair percentage that he paid me.
But everything that I had read before and since then, it comes as no surprise that the broker handled the situation in such a professional manner. In the future, should another similar situation arise, I would definitely reach out to that broker again.

How I Make Money Buying And Selling Domain Names

For my initial post on this blog, what better way to start out than to offer an in depth guide on making money buying and selling domain names.
I got started investing in domains in early 2009. Since that time, I have learned a lot from my experiences, as well as from tips other domain investors have shared.buying selling domains
These are the methods that I use. Many others use very different techniques. My suggestion is take this information and combine it with what you already know, and carve your own path. It is a competitive market so try and be creative to find different angles on things.
I don’t know your knowledge or experience level. You may already know quite a bit about domain names or you may know nothing at all. With that being said, I am going to start with the basics, and explain everything I know about domain investing.

Before We Get Started…

I would like to first point out that I am by no means wealthy from flipping domains. However, I am able to make a consistent, steady profit each month from doing so. If you are looking to find out how to become a millionaire selling domains, you should look elsewhere. If you want to learn an interesting, exciting way to generate some additional income, then you are in the right place.
Second, I concentrate on “keyword rich” domains as opposed to brandable type names. For example, I prefer domains like CarParts.com, NewYorkLawyer.com, or MarketingSoftware.com. These types of domains have search volume, cost per click, and a healthy list of targeted potential end users (specific people or companies who may be interested in purchasing the domain).
On the other hand, there are brandable domains. These types of names continue to sell better than keyword rich names over the last year or so. If you look at the weekly sales lists, they are full of brandable domains. Some examples of brandable domains include BlueLion.com, Vizio.com, ClickHotel.com, MagicMarket.com, etc. Generally, these are one or two words and under 15 characters long.

How to Earn Smart Passive Income and Find Opportunities

If you want to earn smart passive income, you really need to be smart. Passive income is generated through two major sources; rental activity or business activities that you do not materially participate in their running. In other words, you will be making money continuously whether you are on vacation in China or having fun with your spouse and kids all day. Here are few ways of earning smart passive income that will enable you to achieve the lifestyle you have always dreamed of.
Real Estate
The possession of real estate property and renting it out is a good source of passive income. You don't need to get involved in the management of the property as you can give it out to a reputable property manager to handle the management on your behalf.
Online Store
You can own an online store for the purpose of selling goods that people are craving for. Once you are able to determine the type of goods to sell, you will then need to drive traffic to your site so that it will get noticed. You can also consider creating a store on eBay where you will be able to make additional income for yourself.
Stocks
Trading in stocks will also fetch you passive income. There are different types of stocks and you will need the advice of a reputable stock broker in order to determine the right one to purchase. Stocks that pay dividends regularly are ideal because they will fetch you income on a regular basis.
Free Reports
You can write free reports that will be distributed online. The reports must be valuable and you must put a lot of time into producing them. You will then put your affiliate links in the reports and whenever anyone clicks on them and purchase products or services through the links, you will get paid. You can also give your readers the right to share the reports and you will be amazed at how viral they can go.
Start a Blog
You can earn smart passive income through blogging. Blogs provide relevant information to information seekers and the higher the quality of articles on your blog, the higher the amount of visitors it will attract which will determine the amount of money you can make. In order to be a successful blogger, you must pay attention to research in your niche so that you will be able to come up with fresh contents at all times. The juiciest part of blogging is that the articles on your blog can be read for so many years even if you don't write again.
You can make money through blogging in three ways. You can paste pay-per-click adverts on your site and whenever any of your readers click on them, you will get paid. On the other hand, you can paste affiliate text links and banners on your blog and whenever any of your readers click on them and make a purchase from companies you are advertising, you will be paid instantly. You can also sell advert space on your blob to willing companies and you can succeed in this regard if your blog attract heavy traffic.

Legitimate Paying Surveys - Tips and, Techniques

First, I want to make something abundantly clear about "legitimate paying surveys." There are legitimate online survey panels out there that will provide you with legit paid surveys for money. Unfortunately, over the years, there have been a few bad apples out there and have led people to assume that all survey panels must be a scam. I have written this article "Legitimate Paying Surveys - Tips, and Techniques" to help you understand how to spot a scam. How to get started and, how to find the right legitimate paid surveys for you.
When you research for a survey site, look for a trusted company that has reviews from there members. See how long they have been in business, how many member's they may have and, how long you will have to wait before you can be paid. Most members can get paid after earning $25.00. Getting paid to take surveys is a great way to make some extra income. Some people can make up to $200 a week only working part-time.
"I have taken paid surveys for years now. I know some of the in's and out's and the best ways to get started right away even if you have never taken a paid online survey before. 7 Self-Reflection Questions for Personal Development Goals

We all have a dream that we want to experience but it can remain hidden without asking ourselves some self-reflection questions. If you are staring at your computer screen thinking to yourself "I don't have a dream or what questions" do not worry. We will go over some great questions in order to help you with your personal development goals.
1. What one personal development goal if achieved tomorrow would give you the greatest feeling of success?
By discovering which goal is most important to us we can better focus our energy and time on what means the most to us. This does not mean we sacrifice the rest of life to get that goal but by being clear on what is most important to us we make better decisions. If you do not find the answer to this question your life goals will not align with your true purpose. Your intentions will not attract the individuals and circumstances needed to make your dreams come true.
2. Are these your goals or someone else's?
Are you living into what you believe is a predetermined future for yourself? If your parents, grandparents and siblings are all lawyers do you feel obligated to be the same even though you dislike the profession?
You are not anyone but who you are and you need to determine your goals based on that fact in order to live your dream life. A life lived through others expectations, is a life that is filled with regret and what could have been.
You do not have to feel selfish for pursuing your own dreams and not the dreams others have for you. You have the right to listen to your heart and follow what you believe is your destiny.
3. Are you passionate about your vision of life?
If you are not waking up excited to live the day then chances are you do not have personal development goals that you are passionate about. People who are passionate about their lives do not want to go to bed at night because they love being awake. They live such fulfilling lives that they cannot wait to wake up and do it again.
If you just can't wait until its bedtime so you can finally end the day you need to identify what you are passionate about. What could you wake up to tomorrow that would make you throw off the covers and practically run out the door? Your real goals will give you energy you never knew existed.
4. Do you understand what success feels like?
Success has a million different definitions and every one of those only applies to the person who is saying it. Success is a feeling we get inside and not our materialistic belongings.
Take time to reflect on what you consider to be past successes. Do not think of the achievement you got in terms of tangible rewards but try to express how you felt in that situation. Was it exhilarating and mind-blowing or were you just slightly happy.
Real goals make you feel like you are on top of the world. Internet marketers always say that their first $100 online is more memorable than their next $100,000. The reason is because that $100 made them feel true success inside. They actually did what they set out to do and it matched what they wanted it to feel like.
Spend the time needed to determine your definition of success. What will life look like, who will you be and what will it take to get there. Most importantly what do you expect to feel when you arrive at your dream destination?
5. What are the daily habits you can create to achieve your goals?
Successful people have successful habits. They didn't just stumble upon those habits but through taking one step each day towards their personal development goals they developed them. By setting up daily routines that push you towards your goals you can create habits.
Most habits are always on autopilot which puts your success on autopilot. If you were in the habit of exercising 30 minutes every day in some form or another I am guessing you would be in fairly good shape. At first you may have to force yourself to go but before long you would wake up and consider doing nothing but go exercise.
This applies to every goal you have. Set up a plan on how to take small daily steps, they turn into habits and before you know it your goal is accomplished.
6. Are you telling yourself: "I can't achieve these goals?
Most people don't believe they can actually achieve the goals they set. They do a good job of writing their goals and planning the steps they need to take but the whole time they tell themselves inside that it won't happen. So it doesn't.
If your belief system is telling you to forget it this isn't going to happen you will need to discover where those beliefs come from. Maybe you don't believe following your passion will pay the bills or that you can't be rich because your parents are poor. You could have been hurt by someone so you believe you can't be loved. I cannot stress enough the importance of having a positive self-belief system.
You can, you will and you deserve to be.
7. Are you afraid of success?
You thought fear of failure was bad. Can you imagine the fact that some people are more afraid of being successful then failing? If they never get to be successful they can blame their failures but when they achieve success they only see one way to go and that is down.
Instead of going after their goals fully they essentially self-sabotage themselves by creating situations where they get fired, make people mad at them or anything that would give them an excuse as to why success wasn't possible. Then they are like "Whew, I almost became more than I already am, dodged that bullet."
Look at success as something you achieve and then do again, over and over. There is no going backwards just in a different direction.
I understand change is scary but I find it even scarier to think that all I am right now is all I ever will be. You deserve to live the life of your dreams so go out there and crush those personal development goals.

The Truth About Amazon Affiliate Program

There are tons of affiliate programs on the internet and one of the most popular ones is the Amazon affiliate program. However, a lot of people are very reluctant to promote Amazon products because commission payout is a small percentage.
Yet, on the other hand there are actually many people that are earning a full time income just by promoting Amazon products.
So what are the advantages of being an Amazon affiliate? Can you actually make a lot of money with Amazon?
Amazon products are perfect to promote because they sell themselves. Most of their products are highly sought after and a lot of the customers have already decided to buy the product, they just need you to send them there!
But what about the low commission rate?
Yes Amazon does have a low commission rate but it gets a little higher as the number of sales you make increases. Ultimately if you can promote pricier products then you are very likely to earn higher commissions.
But here's the thing... Even if you are promoting lower priced products you can still sell higher price products.
For instance, I have a website set up that promotes a diet book through Amazon. That simple book sells for around $10 and only gives me roughly 60 cents of commission per sale. So why would I sell such a low commission product?
The first sale that I made from this website was for one of those Kindle products. Even though I'm promoting a diet book in my website, someone arrived at Amazon through my affiliate link but didn't buy the book; instead they bought this Kindle product, which gave me a much higher commission.
Very often when someone visits the Amazon website through your affiliate link, while they are there on the site they might remember something else that they had in mind to purchase. You not only earn the commission on that particular product you are promoting, you get paid commission on anything that customer browses and buys at Amazon.
There is a large variety of products to promote
There are literally thousands of products on Amazon that you can select to promote. Most of these products have very little competition making it easier to rank well in the search engines for a product that doesn't have many affiliates promoting it.
Also because the products include descriptions, it is actually very easy for you to write about them, you can even reference the reviews to help in your content creation.
Amazon has high conversions
The conversion rate on Amazon products is quite high compared to a lot of other affiliate programs. A high conversion rate results in great commissions.
Sure not all products are big commission makers, but many Amazon products are. Selecting the right products to sell is one factor that will determine your success rate, but if you do choose the right products then you can earn a nice income with the Amazon affiliate program.

Generate Traffic To Your Website And Ways To Do It

Getting more website traffic doesn't have to be a hard thing to do. All it takes is persistence, patience, and a steady (and consistent) routine of following a simple marketing strategy. You have to be hard on yourself everyday, and hold yourself accountable when it comes to your marketing.
The more responsible you become when it comes getting traffic, the higher the chances are at you getting this traffic, and making a nice income from your site. Traffic is the lifeline of any brand new internet business or website, so the more of it that you can get - the better.
And you don't want just any kind of traffic... you want "targeted" traffic. You will hear people talk about how many "hits" they've gotten to their site. This is just pure nonsense. You should never be in business to get "hits". You can get hits from all kinds of places on the internet. But more than likely, these "hits" won't make you any kind of money whatsoever.
One great way that I like to get traffic is from video marketing. Obviously the most famous video site on the internet is YouTube. You can do a lot with this site, and it can get you a ton of visitors within a short period of time. But it all depends on what you're creating videos about, how many subscribers you have, and how often you put up new videos.
Also, it also boils down to the marketing that you will want to do for your video. Make sure you fill out all areas of your video description, and be sure to list your keywords properly. There's more to it, but this is the gist of it. Some people are able to get thousands of views to their videos, and other people have to get these thousands of views by creating thousands of videos. It is what it is.
Now let's consider blogging. This is a great way to build a fan base and to get people to like you. With a popular and updated blog, people will subscribe to your blog posts, and will follow and read your content whenever you put something new up. You have to make sure that your blog content is really good, and is something that people will want to bookmark, share, and read over and over again.
Don't expect to build a highly thriving blog in one day. It takes months or even years for some people to fully tap into the full power of blogs, and make one that is very profitable for them. So if you're looking for some "easy" cash here... don't look, because you won't find it.
Traffic is easy if you know what to do. I do YouTube marketing and blogging everyday in my business. It's something that you should do too if you want the targeted traffic in your business that you're looking for. Don't skimp over these strategies because they are things that will help you to get tons of traffic to your site quickly and easily.
Good luck with generating traffic to your site simply and easily today.

Earn Dollars With Google AdSense

If you want to increase your business earnings yet you do not want to be too pressured handling a new business that venture into a new industry, then trying Google AdSense is a good option for you.
Google AdSense is a collection of links which may be posted on different sides of your website. It offers various products and services such as online games, internet products and more. When someone visits your site and clicks the advertisement, then you will earn some dollars from it.
You have to take note that before settling for Google AdSense, your website needs to have a decent page rank. Increased traffic will help you in having higher chances in this strategy especially if the advertisement is appealing to your website's visitors.
Passive income is what most website owners like, especially that investing some dollars will never be required. Your Google AdSense will start to skyrocket only if you know how to do well. Unfortunately, it may not be the answer to your prayers, especially if you want to become a millionaire through your website. It may be possible to earn a lot only if you will drive excessively. So as to make it plausible and if you want to be able to do well on this aspect, then you have to work on various internet marketing strategies. Here are some free strategies you might like to look at:
1. Write articles in various Web 2.0 sites.
2. Exert some time doing blog and forum commenting which are on the same niche as yours.
3. Partnered blog. Seek for a blogger who would be interested in mentioning your website.
4. Video marketing using various platforms such as social media sites and YouTube.
5. Social media marketing. These are free sites and are widely used by many individuals. Because of that, it can be used for marketing your website. People who are interested of your chosen niche will definitely click your website.
What Should Not Be Done
Google is very strict when it comes to Google AdSense. You have to make sure that you follow these guidelines:
1. You are not allowed to click your own ad.
2. You must not ask people to click the ad. Something like "Hey, could you do me a favor? I need you to click this link: blah... blah... blah... "
3. Be careful in placing your ads. Some website owners place this advertisement in areas where people may click them accidentally. Do not do that.
4. Promote your website well. If you will ask a company, make sure that they will follow Google's guidelines to proper promotion.
5. Make use of Google Analytics.
6. Ads may not be placed on websites which are prohibited by Google such as porn sites.
7. Do not tamper the codes provided by Google.
8. Avoid pop-ups which have no relevance to your niche.
9. Respect Google's trademarks.
10. Be responsive whenever Google needs to contact you, in case your Google AdSense experienced a problem.
Once you have finally ensured regular visitors, then more people will be able to see the Google AdSense you are trying to work on. You do not need to spend lots of dollars in order for you to be able to increase the amount of traffic your website is receiving. And basically, if you will only rely on Google AdSense, spending money for your internet marketing strategies should never be an option.
But if it will serve as an additional earning apart from your online business, then this should not be set aside. The money you will be earning from it is still decent enough and it requires no investment. Good luck on your Google AdSense.

How to Make Money at Home - Easier Than You Think

More and more people are seeking alternatives to the hassle and drudgery of getting in a car and driving to a job. It takes time and extra money to pay for the gas and operating costs of a vehicle. But developing a business you can operate from the comfort and convenience of your home is easier than you think. So if you've ever wanted to learn how to make money at home, here are some good alternatives to consider.
The advantage to operating a business from home is the freedom and flexibility it brings. In most cases you can set your own hours which give you much more flexibility when it comes to spending more time with your family. There are a number of things you can do to establish a good business from your home.
For example if you have skills in things like graphic arts, software design, or even accounting there are many ways you can offer these skills and identify new customers on a worldwide basis through the Internet. But a great way to start initially is to advertise your services through a local site like Craigslist. There are editions for many local areas throughout the US. You can create ads and place for little to no money.
If you want to reach a larger audience then consider creating a profile for yourself in a site like oDesk. This website contains thousands of people who are skilled in a wide variety of tasks. With this site you can post examples of your work as well as ratings and recommendations from other users. The site tracks the hours you work, collects the money from the customer and pays you directly through a service like Paypal.
Other options to consider might include buying and selling different kinds of products. If you like to visit garage sales, tag sales or estate sales you might be able to purchase some nice items at a significant discount and then offer them for sale on a site like eBay. Or if you have access to new or used products you might be able to set up a store where you offer these items for sale. eBay has a great deal of training and support. A number of people began modestly and eventually developed major businesses right out of their homes. It's a great thing to consider.
Or you can get involved in affiliate marketing. This entails getting involved with a company which offers a product or service and then promoting this to others typically through the Internet. You are usually provided with a website and if someone visits the site and ultimately purchases the product or service you are paid a commission equal to a percentage of the sale.
These options as well as many more are available and provide some great ways to make money at home.

How to Make Money from Online Surveys

I am known for my articles about making money from home and one question that I am frequently asked is “Can I really make money by participating online surveys?”

The answer is definitely yes; firstly you need to understand why companies are
willing to pay you for your opinion on a couple of products. Big brand companies have massive budgets for research and development and they need to ensure they create the products that people want in order to do that they need to engage opinion of their target demographic.

Due to the current economic climate a lot of people are looking for ways to supplement their income and online surveys are probably one of the easiest ways to make money. Although, participating in surveys is an easy task you still need to be careful, because there are a lot of con artists running scams just trying to get your details for nothing in return.  There are a couple of reputable global companies that I know of and I will list their pros and cons.

The process of joining a survey site is very simple, usually you go to their website fill in their application forms and wait for them to contact you by email. Please note that once you are a member of a survey site, they will start to send you a lot of emails about surveys, vouchers etc for this reason you might not want to give your main email. Also, not everyone fits the target demographic for survey companies they will normally filter you out during the application stage.

Globaltestmarket.com – Is a global market research company that awards you points for taking part in surveys. The payment threshold is 1000 points, which at the time of writing is $50. Surveys normally take about 20 minutes and on average members get about $2 dollars a survey.

Toluna.com – with Toluna you can get paid for your participation in surveys, polls and asking the community questions. Surveys take around 20 minutes and they are rewarded with 3,000 to 5,000 points. The payout threshold is 80,000 points, which is around $25 dollars. Points can also be redeemed for all kinds new gadgets, getaways, prize draw tickets, vouchers for a large selection of stores including Amazon and cash.

Ciao.com – although Ciao is not a survey site I thought it at least deserves a mention. With Ciao you get paid for writing product reviews and the more views you get on your review the more you get paid.  Ciao have a strong presence in Europe; the rate you get paid varies on your status within the Ciao community. Reviews are worth 0.5p per rating, 1p per rating or 2p per rating and you earn more if you write a first review of a product or very high quality reviews. You can invite friends and earn a commission equal to 50% of your friend's earnings for the first six months of their membership. Once you've reached £5 or more you can request a payout into your bank account.

All of the survey sites I have listed will help you to make money, but they won't help you to make a living. A good friend recently introduced me to getcashforsurveys.com, they show you step by step how you can participate in numerous surveys and give you everything you need to turn filling in surveys into a business.

15 Affiliate Program Tips

When I was first introduced to online marketing, affiliate programs was the bait that got me hooked. I was amazed at how people make $90,000 per month with minimal effort. It was the easiest way to make residual income I ever heard of in my life. Like other starters, I looked forward to making hefty income with only a few referrals a month. If you are in such a state, or think of this, you were not told everything.
Learning the hard way, which includes time and money, I came to learn that making casino jackpot income wasn't as easy as I heard and had to get some things in place first. Here they are:
Choosing an affiliate program
Choosing the right program is the first step to being closer to making it in affiliate marketing. Here are some tips:
1. Get the niche right. Choose a niche that is related to your online activities, your blogs, etc. No one would be interested in a product or service that has no relations to why they are there.
2. Once you get a niche, look for affiliate programs that exist within that niche and list them down.
3. Look at the commissions they pay. This is why you chose to refer others and get paid. You should target programs that pay not less than 20% commission. It can be as high as 100% but not less than 20.
4. The only reason that would make me accept commissions less than 20% would be the price of the product. If it is more than $300.
5. Look for programs that offer a line of products so that you could earn when your referrals came to buy other products.
6. You would also want to consider the number of tiers you would get in earning commissions. I go for programs that have 2-3 tier commission structures.
7. Customer support is something I would not go without. You wouldn't want to wait for days just to have solutions that are beyond your reach. Customer support should run 24hrs.
8. Do the programs offer any marketing support? Most of them have pre-written letters, banners, marketing courses, etc, to help their marketers. If this is missing, you will need to be a good marketer.
Affiliate marketing tips
Once you carry out these steps, all you need to do now is to find out how you will send referrals to the links and make money. Here are some tips:
9. Link the products you are promoting inside the contents of your website.
10. Make sure all the product images on your site are clickable and has your affiliate link
11. Product reviews are the best. They have most conversion rates. Make sure you have some on your website.
12. Build a mailing list. It will give you most income. "Money is in the list" - so they say.
13. Holidays are best times for promos. Make use of them and boost your sales.
14. Have an array of products on your site. This increases your chances of making multiple sales of income.
15. Go for inexpensive products but target selling a high quantity of them. This will boost your payout.
