How To Get Free Legitimate Website Traffic

So you've created a website and you aren't getting any visitors? What should you do? Send traffic to your website! While sending traffic to your website can be expensive, it doesn't have to be. There are several free methods that you can employ to increase traffic to your website or opt-in page. Most of these options will take time to get the results you are looking for so be patient when starting out. Here are some of the most useful methods to get free traffic.
Social Media Sites - Social media sites are so valuable because they can be very effective in getting information to mass amounts of people. Almost everyone has a Facebook or Twitter account. These sites have millions of users that could potentially be your customers. On your profile pages, include a link to your website. Promote your website in your posts but be careful not to over-promote your website. You do want to drive traffic to your site but you don't want people to un-follow or un-friend you because they feel like they are being spammed. It's a fine line between friendship and shameless spamming. Don't just offer them a chance to view your site but also quality content.
Blogging and Article Writing - Blogging and article writing are both excellent ways to get traffic. Not only can you create your own content for blogging but you can use the blogging platform in other ways to increase traffic. Some great examples of this would be guest blogging and commenting on blogs. Article writing is another way to increase traffic. Always remember when writing articles or blog posts, keep your content unique and relevant. You want people to continue coming to your site even after they've found what they were originally searching for. Don't forget to include a link back to your site in the signature! And write consistently. It won't matter if you have unique content if you're not consistently updating.
Forums - A forum is a dedicated space for discussions about a particular subject. Join a forum that deals specifically in your niche. When you post comments or discussion topics in the forum, be sure to include a link to your page. This can also help you find new content for your blog posts or articles. It gives you an opportunity to see what people are talking about in your niche.
Freebies - Who doesn't like free stuff? Offer a free product, brochure or service to entice people to check out your site. This is a good way to earn customers. Just remember to make the freebie something that is worth people's attention. Don't give out junk.
SEO - Search Engine Optimization is one of the best ways to get traffic to your site. Think about how many times you use Google in one week. If you're like me, you probably use it at least once a day. If people search for your niche but can't find you, you're losing money! Make yourself easy to find through optimizing your site for search engines.

Online Marketing Business: Why Do Almost All Of You Fail?

Why do almost all people fail when starting their online marketing business or taking a broader perspective; fail at anything?
The most common answer is that people do not fail, they stop and quit.
So the question becomes why do people stop or, as I would put it, 'Get Stuck Or Defeated' and quit?
If you have a good idea that is within reach of your capabilities, a way to get good information to make that idea become a reality and you believe it will work; why is it that most of the time you never really make it happen?
In fact, the truth for most people is they never really even get started!
I feel that the two biggest factors that cause people to quit when it comes to their online marketing business are fear and the fact that it is not as easy as all of the marketing out there on this subject makes it sound. An online marketing business is a 'Business' meaning it does require you to learn and work at it on a consistent basis.
I break down the 'Fear' as a result of two separate factors.
For starting an online marketing business there is a massive amount of information and products and services out there and a lot of people have no idea where to start and confusion and fear immediately present themselves.
Imagine one of those 'Big Box Store Supercenters' stocked only with online marketing business materials. You walk in and you have no clue where to begin. Just deciding which product or service you will start with can be an overwhelming, mind numbing, energy draining and totally confusing experience.
Many people give up right at this point; there are just too many choices out there for their mind to process.
I'll give a little bit of personal advice here. Take 1 hour and look around, do a little research on the internet to find an online marketing business product or service that seems to make sense to you as far as using it as a starting point. Once that 1 hour is up make a decision and just start going through whatever material is presented there.
Odds are it won't be the best one for you, but the odds also favor that it won't be the worst. But the most important thing you have done is you have picked a starting point!
And that is very necessary because now you can start!
Once you start and learn all you can from that beginning choice in a few weeks you'll be better educated and have a much better background and therefore be able to more effectively judge which selection of material you wish to purchase next to advance your online marketing business in the direction that you want it to go.
The second 'Fear Factor' that wants to set in is when you look at the overall picture of what is needed for you to be successful and looking at it all at once it just seems so overwhelming that your mind screams 'AAAHHH!' and you back away.
What I would suggest you do is look at it in smaller bits in pieces. For example; what is necessary for me to do to inexpensively set up my own website?
Make a list of what you need to do to create your own website and then break it down into smaller pieces. Now look at one individual piece and suddenly it doesn't seem quite so scary and impossible. You realize you can do each individual piece taken one at a time.
You just need to learn to be 'Now' and not focus on all that lies ahead letting your mind start imagining a negative, overwhelming future. You merely start doing those little bits and pieces and just concentrate on completing each one and congratulating yourself when you do.
That is basically how everyone that is successful with an online marketing business maintains their sanity and manages to continue on. They get one little piece done and say "Great!" now I can move on to the next thing I need to do.
The phrase is 'The Road To Success' not 'The Driveway To Success' because it will take a little while but you can enjoy many small victories along the way.
And so what if it takes a little while? Isn't that the way with most of the things in life?
No one is ever really an overnight success. It just seems that way when someone suddenly bursts onto the scene in any field of study, career or endeavor; whatever you want to call it.
Let Me Compare Starting An Online Marketing Business With Running A Marathon:
If I were to ask you "Can you run a marathon?" Most of you would say "No."
But if I were to ask you, "Can you run half a mile a day for 52 days?"
Almost all of you would say, "Yes."
Well then, all of you could run a marathon.
Nobody said you have to do it in two hours.
So, yes, you can do it. You just need to change your perspective, the way you are looking at it, the way you are thinking about it. Just break it all down into small bites you can more easily wrap your head around.
In other words; just focus on running that half mile every day, step by step, and soon you'll have run that marathon.
By applying this attitude for a few days you might be surprised at how quickly you 'Get In To Shape' when it comes to applying yourself to developing your online marketing business!

Affiliate Marketing - Tips

These are tough times for all so many people are examining new ways to make some extra income. Affiliate marketing is certainly a genuine source of earnings; and the fact you never have to leave the comfort of your own home is a major plus. This commentary contains worthy information to aid you in building a successful and profitable affiliate site.
Endorse only high quality merchandise that you trust and believe. If the prospect determines that they can believe in what you market, they will be more likely to take your guidance in buying the new products that they are not familiar with. Keeping your product line specific to products you truly believe in and trust will keep your patrons believing in you as an expert.
A decent affiliate marketing firm will offer programs that are well documented and researched. They will also provide tested advertising copy that is effective and works. The program you join should be completely ready to generate sales.
Affiliate marketing isn't going to make you rich overnight. You must be persistent as many programs are designed to provide steady payoffs over time. The potential for financial achievement is high, but it pays to take an easy-going approach, as you will start making much of your income as you build a strong and loyal customer base.
Compose articles about the products or services you are endorsing. Make sure that include an affiliate link(s) in the text as to create valuable back linking your to blogs and websites. This is an important marketing strategy as back links will aid your SEO which helps create higher ranking on search engine results pages. This type of linking is considered organic linking (search engine friendly) and will help acquire a better targeted traffic to your affiliate pages.
Be sure to advertise your affiliate goods in more than one area. Adding a banner or link in one place is not enough to get the volume of sales you need. Diversify and look to other mediums for promotion. Look at email, classified ads, surfing sites and the like. There are many if you only do a little research.
Blogs and forums are a great way to generate interest and income. Make sure you stay as accessible to as many readers as possible. An eBook on a topic you are familiar with is another great marketing medium if you are so inclined, as you can sprinkle your affiliate links throughout the contents.
Maintain a list of ideas, successes and failures. The more detailed information you have, the greater the ease you will have to make improvements and constructive adjustments on your website or sales page.
An affiliate program will not be an immediate solution for all your financial woes. It's an outlay of time and effort that will be worth the investment in the long run. Be resolute, and flexible to try out some new methods you learn along the way, and when you are able meet and talk with someone who has been the trade for a while learn all you can. Withdetermination and patients affiliate marketing work for you.

The Best eBay Business Strategy

The Key To Success On eBay
The key to success in any venture is planning and selling on eBay should be no different. Now you may have heard some other eBay experts telling people to just start selling and plan later. This is fine for those just starting out who are exploring the idea of selling on eBay. However, if you're serious and really want to start making any sort of income from your eBay business then you're going to need a rock solid plan.
Analyzing Your eBay Business Goals
Every person is different and so every business will inherently be different as well. You want as business that will satisfy your personal goals. Success for you may mean being able to quit your nine to five job. For others it may simply mean making enough for some extra spending money each month. To get a clear picture of your goals ask yourself these questions:
  1. Is this business something I want to do full-time or part-time?
  2. Is this going to a one man operation or will I have a partner/employee?
  3. How much money would I like to take home each month?
  4. How much am I willing to invest in monthly overhead?
Only after answering these basic questions can you have an idea of how to proceed with your eBay strategy for your business.
Formulating A Winning Strategy
The next step is to figure out how you plan to reach the goals that you have set out. The bigger you want your business to be the more complicated the planning and overhead is also likely to be. Let's give a brief example let's say you want to make $1,000 a month which is quite doable. However, there are many different ways to go about it. You could sell 1,000 items with a dollar profit on each or you could sell 5 items each bringing in $200 dollars profit. If you want to work part-time then the better solution would be the latter. That brings us to our steps for a successful eBay Business Plan:
  1. Begin With eBay Market Research. The first step then is to explore the eBay Marketplace and look for items which are selling well. There some tools available for free on eBay that can help. Try using the completed listings tool to see which items seem to popular. There are also third party research tools available such as Terapeak or Hammertap.

  2. Researching Sources For Items. One you have brainstormed a list of potential items that you would like to sell, it is time to try to see if you can find them for a good price. Depending on your business goals some items may be out of reach as they require large amounts of capital. An example would be high end electronics they may sell well but many wholesalers have a minimum purchase order that would make it difficult for small sellers. Some sources include buying wholesale, buying bulk liquidations, thrift stores, estate sales, /Craigslist, eBay wholesale listings and many more.

  3. Calculating Your Profit Margins. Once you have an item in mind and a source it's time to calculate your profit margin. Take the expected sale price plus shipping and minus any eBay fees that apply this includes the final value fees, listing fees and PayPal fees. From this figure you can calculate how many of the items you would need to sell to reach your goal. You also have to take into account how many of the items are available for purchase. Used collectible items have an inherited limited supply.
As you can see it can be hard to find that perfect eBay niche that works for you and helps you reach your goals. The key though is to thoroughly research plan your eBay Business. When you do find it though making money one eBay will be as simple buying inventory, listing it and shipping it to your customers.

The Best Legit Work From Home Careers

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/uBCsGJ2L8W4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

The 7 Different Ways to Promote Your Website

1. Press Releases and News Releases - If you have an event coming up or a new product coming out that people would be very interested in, you can use press and news releases to your advantage. Be sure to include links to your website and products in the release. Once submitted, the article will remain in the databases and also boost traffic to your site.
2. Reciprocal Links - If used sparingly, reciprocal links can be beneficial to your business. Consider requesting from a smaller website and always choose one that will compliment your products and services.
3. Use Your Address - This may not work for everyone, especially if you are working from home but if you do have a physical business address, use it! When you include your address on your website, you will be entered into directories like Google Places and the like. People who are searching locally for your type of services or products will find you that much faster and easier.
4. Blog - Create a business blog for your website. If you are consistent in putting out great, interesting and valuable content, people will return time and time again to get more. And while they're there, they just might buy something!
5. Online Forums - Online forums are a great way to find and communicate with your target demographic. Be a participating member by joining in discussions and commenting on other's posts and questions. If you only use online forums as a way to sell, no one will take you seriously and you may even be banned from the site. One way to avoid this is by only commenting and posting relevant information and by adding your website information to your signature which displays at the bottom of any comment or post you write.
6. Use a signature in your emails - This is easy to do and can help customers find you if they have a support question. When customers feel like they can ask questions about the product and know they have someone they can contact through a phone number, they are more likely to want to purchase.
7. Email Newsletter - This is one of the more time consuming options on this list but it is worth it. You can use a bi-weekly or monthly email newsletter to develop a relationship with your customers and it can also be used to get new customers. If you have an opt-in page where people can sign up for your free weekly newsletter, you can build trust and later you might gain a customer. It's easy to set up an email newsletter as long as you're writing about something you know about and something that your customers will be interested in.

Importance of Keywords in Domain Names

A domain name plays a very important role in a company's branding, in building the customer's impression of the site and in some cases, it also helps to improve the site's rankings in search results. Thank to the increasing number of people who use the internet these days, it has become very important to use keywords in domain names in order to ensure that your site performs well. Keywords in the domain name can add an advantage to your site.
Importance of keywords
A phrase is considered to be a keyword when a large number of people search for that particular phrase in search engines. These words give business owners an idea of what people are searching for online. The chances of a person clicking on the link of your site and visiting it increase to a great extent if your site shows up in the search results when someone looks for a keyword. Your website will practically not exist for your users if it does not show up in search results when someone searches for a related keyword. While search engine optimization can help you improve your site's rankings and help it to show up in search results, if you have a keyword in your domain name, it will increase the chances of the site ranking better greatly.
Uses of domain keywords
  • Increases the visibility of the site considerably. Keywords will also give your customers and consumers an idea about what your site focuses on and what kind of business you deal in.
  • They are the simplest form of advertising your product and services online. If you keep relevant keywords in the domain name, it can help you generate more traffic to your site.
Advantages of domain keywords
  • Most of the times, when people link to a website or share its URL on social networking sites, they will share the domain name. At such a time, if your domain name contains a keyword, then it will act as the linking text to your website for all the incoming links. This will help your site's SEO a great deal and will contribute towards increasing its rankings.
  • Your domain name will speak for your site and its business if you include keywords in it. It will increase the chances of getting better business.
  • Using keywords in the domain name will help you stand apart in the large online industry. It will help people distinguish your site from other sites that offer similar products and services.
Disadvantages of domain keywords
  • If you have a very big business website, then adding just one keyword in your domain name may not do you any good. Your focus will be on increasing the rankings of all the keywords if you want a site as large as yours to do well and it may not be possible for you to include all these keywords in the domain name.
  • You may not get all the results that you expected from your site's rankings if you use long tail keywords in your domain name.
SEO is a field that is constantly undergoing some change or the other. It is important for you to be aware of the various changes that take place in this field in order to be successful in the online world. Using the correct keyword in your domain name will be one of the best ways to achieve this. Your domain keywords can become a part of your marketing strategy and can help you generate a lot of traffic to your site. As far as possible try and speak to your domain registration company about using a keyword rich domain name for your site so that you can ensure that even your domain name contributes to the site's rankings in some way.

Make Money Real Quick - Monetize Your Hobbies

We all have hobbies and passions that we fail to nurture mainly due to the overwhelming pressure of our primary jobs. However, with the economy being so vulnerable, more and more people are looking for ways to supplement their income and secure their future of any financial uncertainties. This pursuit of an extra income source is the best way to bring out our hidden passions and monetize them for our own benefit.
Many of us love designing things around us. While we mostly utilize our designing skills to decorate our own houses and private parties, it can be exploited to earn a decent income without having to invest a huge amount of money. There are several people building homes for themselves and do not want to shell out huge amount of money by hiring professional interior decorators. They look for freelance interior designers who save them a lot of cash, while providing amateur designers a chance to earn a little bit of extra cash.
To start off with your interior designing career, it is a wise idea to get a degree or diploma course done in order to showcase your credibility as a designer. Moreover, if you have done sample work for your own house or for your friends and family, it is equally helpful to showcase such works to your prospective clients. There are several websites that offer a marketplace for clients and designers to meet up virtually and set up the project. In the real world, one can spread word about their interest in taking up interior designing projects through word of mouth, leaflets, advertisements on notice boards among other ways.
Once you get your first project, it is important to work out the specifics before getting started. Firstly, you need to extract the general idea out of your clients as in most cases, people have a very vague idea about how they want their new home to look like, but look for an expert to implement it. After you have the idea of the effort that you need to put in, you can quote your price. Although the price is determined based on negotiations, a winning quote can be determined by enquiring how much professionals are charging for similar projects and by offering your services at a slightly lower rate.
The whole plan of designing the place should be planned out to the tiniest bit of details, and a timeline must be provided to your clients so that there are no unexpected surprises at both ends. The more work you do would lead into building a good reputation of you as an accomplished interior designer, thereby getting you more projects and earning some quick money through your hobby.

Back-Linking Strategies That Can Help the Company to Attain Top SEO Rankings

You can no longer expect for companies to link up to your website even if you have great content and the right keywords. Website owners with an authority and high PR understand the importance of linking. The benefits generated from linking back are definite.
However, some of the site owners pursue the SEO back-link strategy as the sole strategy, in the process neglecting the content and relevance of the terms they seek to be ranked. It is important to seek for the SEO back-link strategy that offers an effective use of time and resources. Some of the back-linking strategies that can help the company to attain top SEO rankings include:
· Write quality articles
It is important to write quality articles that have the capacity of driving natural links to the company's website. An article that has been properly written will often attract more links. Some of the most effective articles are those which help to educate the audience about problems that they are trying to solve or solutions they are looking for.
· Utilizing Word press Blog
Utilizing a blog on the company's website offers an effective way of developing internal links leading to the web pages you seek to rank highly in the organic search engines. Therefore, it is important to consider quality articles in the blog every week. In addition to building internal links, the blog helps to keep the company's website fresh. This helps to rank the website highly in the preferred search engine. It helps to increase the size of the site as well as the Page Rank controlled by your website.
· Try guest blogging
You may consider contacting blogs within your industry and express your desire to post a guest blog. Depending on the blog you chose to write for, the company's website is likely to generate massive exposure by simply appearing on their blogs. You may also consider linking back to the company's website in the articles body. Alternatively, you may consider featuring a short bio that you can consider placing a link.
· Submit the company's site to the website directories
Although bulk submissions to directories are not always effective, the opportunity to get the company's site listed to high authority directories helps with SEO rankings. Therefore, it is important to find directories in your industry and your country- and get listed. It is equally important to consider paid directories like Yahoo Directories to get listed. 5 Affiliate Marketing Tips to Make Huge Profits

Affiliate marketing has produced billionaires on the internet and is a source of income and living for millions of people worldwide.
But what is this affiliate marketing? Can you too make some income online using this to change your lifestyle? Is this affiliate marketing suitable for you?
The answer to all the above is YES. You too can make a fortune online selling other people's stuff as affiliates and earning commissions in return for every sale. Once you have your affiliate marketing site such as a squeeze page or a sniper site up and running, you can use the below techniques to give a boost to your profits and sales.
5 Affiliate Marketing Techniques to Make More Sales
  1. Create an E-book:- The very first thing you need to do is to create an eBook on the niche of your affiliate website filled with informative and killer content. Next you can give it away completely free through email subscription forms. This will not only help you to create targeted leads, but you can also send some traffic to your pitch page by including affiliate links in your ebook. Many internet marketers use this technique to make huge profits.

  2. Target the Problem More than the Solution:- Create a scenario where you are targeting the problem heavily so that your visitors can relate it with themselves and get involved in your site. Once your visitors have a feel that this is exactly the same what they want, they are more likely to look forward to look into the solution and buy your products.

  3. Create Video Reviews:- Trust me on this, nothing converts better than a video review of a product you are promoting on your website. If you can bring yourself in front of the webcam and speak out an honest review(even if there are some loose points), your visitors are going to love it and you will soon see them getting converted into customers and long term clients.

  4. Keep a Track of New Products:- In affiliate marketing, it is often not recommended to stick to only one product. If your niche allows flexibility to promote more than one product, then never hesitate to add useful and new products to your store. You can subscribe to newsletters of various affiliate networks like CBEngine to stay updated with new additions and releases in your niche.

  5. Create Your Own Product:- Affiliate marketing is not only about selling other people's products. There comes a time when you have to take your marketing and online business to the next level by creating your own product and hiring affiliates to promote it. Just the way you used to do it sometime. But yes, for being successful with this, you need to create a product which sells. This is not an easy task though.
So these were some of the useful tactics for you if you are really interested in making a full time income online using affiliate marketing.

4 Essential Tips For eBay Marketers

When I first started selling on eBay I had no idea there was a right way and a wrong way to approach opening your account. I was just selling things from home so just picked the first name that came into my head. I did make money but it was only when I branched out into selling wholesale goods that I realised how much I could have improved my listings (and profit!)
Tip #1
The main thing that novice sellers don't realise is that the name you select to sell under can have a big impact on the amount of business you do. You should always create a name to match the product or products you intend to sell. If you intend to concentrate on a particular product or brand do a little keyword research l and pick a name that gets lots of searches. This at least will start you off right. For instance if you decide to sell books try and specialise and incorporate that into your name, such as "(Your name) First editions" or "The Paperback Emporium", something that will grab the buyers attention. Whatever niche you choose will have competition but at least if your name gets lots of searches you can try and grab a share of the market.
Tip #2
The auction site I use only allows us to have one free picture so make sure your picture stands out from the rest of the listings. I use a free photo editor to put a red border around my picture.
Tip #3
You need to get your feedback up to a certain level before you can become a trusted eBay seller. The method I used was to buy lots of 99p items from different sellers. As many as 40 or 50. The end will certainly justify the means as your feedback can only have a positive effect. One point, don't buy lots of 99p items at once from one seller. They will only leave you feedback once.
Tip #4
Put as much information as you can on your "About Me"page. It is worth creating your own website so you populate it with even more information about your products and links to other websites you may own. One strategy I used a lot was to create a page on my website filled with extra photographs and information about a particular listing and then put a link on the actual listing page saying "For more information on this item go to (Link to my page)". This is particularly effective because it means you can virtually have as many photographs of your product as you want. Thereby escaping further eBay fees.
I hope you find these tips helpful. If you need any advice on using a photo editing site or website creation don't be afraid to contact me.

Earn Smart Passive Income From Home

Smart Passive income is revenue that doesn`t imply direct involvement. It is the kind of income where, without actually working an asset gives you money over time. This usually refers to owning rental property, obtaining financial gains from creative work, marketing over the internet or inventing a new product. This way, by just creating a one time advantage, an individual may obtain profit easily without much effort in the future.
If you are starting a new project or even if you are running it for some time, the faster you think about how to transform your business into one that creates residual income, the sooner you can get to have financial freedom and achieve a state of personal benefit without much effort.
When approaching ways of becoming financially independent without much effort we have to stop thinking just to obtain smart passive income. The goal of each individual should be obtaining smart passive income. Let's take a look over how smart passive income works:
Smart passive activity is the kind of work where after you provide a service or do a job one time you get money for a longer period of time. While thinking how this residual income works we realize that if we apply the same parameters as in normal working conditions we just provide a service that is paid over a longer amount of time. Taking into consideration economic laws we have to understand if the money we receive in the future is enough to be worth the amount of work we did at that one time.
For example let's imagine that an individual created a business. As the business evolved it reached its peak and no further development could be produced. If the individual hires a manager to take his place and just maintain the project on a positive cash flow he then obtains money without actually working. The question here is if the work this individual performed until he passed on his business to the manager is worth his effort. In order to realize if this kind of passing to recurring income is what we have to compare it to financial income.
Therefore we have to take smart decisions as going for a passive type of income is not always the best solution. Even if we have to take care not to get too excited in these kind of ideas usually smart passive income is the best way to turn your business and live happily in Hawaii while others work for you.

How Much Do SEO Content Writers Earn?

The salary of an SEO content writer can vary greatly depending on a number of factors, which we'll discuss here. First though, let's clearly define what an SEO writer does so we're on the same page about the duties as it relates to this profession.

What Does a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Writer Do?

FYI, these professionals are also referred to as web content writers, article writers and SEO copywriters, among a few other titles. As for what they do, in simple terms, they write web copy to increase a site's visibility in search engines.

Why SEO Content Writers are So In Demand

There are specific web writing guidelines by search giants like Google that must be followed in order to achieve the desired results, and these change all the time. This is one of the reasons SEO writers are so in demand.

Many small business owners simply don't have time to stay on top of the changing algorithms of search companies like Google, Yahoo and Bing; nor do they have the time to produce a constant stream of content (which is one of the things that's required in many cases to rank well in search engines). So, many companies turn to freelance web writers - those who know current SEO guidelines, and who can produce the appropriate copy for their websites, newsletters and blogs.

Now that you know why these editorial professionals are so in demand, let's look at some of the factors that affect how much they earn.

SEO Content Writing: Salary Expectations

Salaries for this profession are all over the place. If you check major job outlets like SeoJobsFinder and SimplyHired, you'll find ranges from a low of around $35,000 to a high of approximately $75,000. The average, according to SimplyHired is $66,000 as of this writing (Summer 2013).

Freelance SEO Writers Can Earn More! Why? Because you can tailor your service offerings - and your rates - to achieve whatever income goals you may have.

Factors that Affect SEO Content Writing Salaries

There are many elements that affect what an SEO writer is likely to be paid. Some of them are:

Niche: If you're an SEO writer who specializes in fields like legal, medical or technology, for example, you can set - and get - higher rates because not everyone can write this type of copy.

Location: If you decide to work full-time, how much you earn will vary depending on where you're located. For example, using the title "SEO writer" on SimplyHired, it shows a median salary of $57,000 in Jackson, MS. The same position in New York, NY pays $77,000 - a $20,000 per year difference.

Experience: The search marketing industry has matured, and companies seek writers with experience. Ideally, they look for at least three to five years.

FYI, as a freelancer, this won't matter so much when looking for clients. All they'll want to know is if you CAN write SEO content and this can be proven by way of writing samples.

These are three of the biggest factors that affect a SEO content writer's salary. Following are a few more.

Educational background: This is especially important if you specialize in a highly technical niche like the ones listed above.

Writing Samples: You must know where to place keywords; how to write traffic-generating headlines; the do's and don'ts of using anchor text; etc.

Type of client/company you work for/with: Some clients simply pay better than others, eg, content mills vs. clients you find on your own.

Marketing ability and consistency: If you freelance as an SEO writer, you can easily earn six figures per year if you market consistently. You'll work your tail off - for sure! - but it's possible because of the need and because there are so many complementary services you can add to increase your earnings (eg, social media account management).

With the right training, writing SEO content for small and medium-sized businesses can be the perfect high-paying, home-based freelance business, as the salaries cited here prove.

15 Tips on How To Start An Internet Business

Several years ago, I thought setting up an online business was as easy as having a website online. However, the hiccups I faced made me re-evaluate my perceptions and steps in order to succeed. I came to realize that there are so many things I needed to consider before having my business running efficiently.
Many businesses fail because they fail to plan adequately. In order to plan adequately, you need to know what to plan for and how to plan for them. If you are thinking of starting a business on the internet or wondering why yours is not doing so well, the tips below will be useful.
1. Know your target market. It is very difficult to produce for everyone. Having a definite market will therefore help you make crucial decisions such as localization, designs, etc.

2. Have a budget. You will need professional designers and good online marketers to help you run your business well. Good ones don't come cheap.

3. In online businesses, the website is a crucial platform. Get this right to ensure usability as well as functionality are not distracted by petty designs.

4. You will need a domain name for your website. Pick one that either describes your business or company.

5. Invest some time and resources on search engine optimization for your website. This will help you get at least 17% of the searches from search engines.

6. In all the marketing you will do, do not ignore pay-per-click ads. PPC generates highly targeted visitors to landing pages and websites.

7. Engage with your audience on social media platforms such as Facebook, Google + and Twitter. They are integral parts in the online marketing business.

8. Work towards building your brand on the internet. Improve your visibility and make sure your business can be easily found on the internet.

9. Make sure that your website is visible at all times. Ensure you have reliable servers to host your website and online business requirements.

10. The maintenance of your website is as important as setting it up. Have a developer to ensure the technical side of the website is well taken care of.

11. When your business is up and running, focus on the process of the business, not the products. Regardless of the niche you are operating in, what is important is the business process.

12. Like what you are dealing with. If you do not like your idea, but feel it can get you a lot of money, most likely it won't work.

13. If your business does not work, do not struggle too hard in making it work, accept the results and look for something else. Learn when to close a business and when to be persistent.

14. Do not assume that you know everything. Be curious on things you find intriguing in your business.

15. Be disciplined to work towards your goals. Unless you are disciplined, your internet business goals will be useless.

Is It Still Possible To Make Money On eBay?

That's one question often asked by people who are either just starting out on eBay or used to sell and quite selling.
The answer is a little difficult. You can still make money selling on eBay. It's just not as easy as it once was. You used to be able to list something and often, you'd be shocked at what price it brought. When it was first started back in 1995, the founder sold a broken laser pointer for almost $15! Since then, the amount of listings and sellers has skyrocketed and eBay is one of the great American success stories.
These days, eBay has anyone and everyone buying and selling. Major corporations use eBay as a liquidation center to move old inventory. Professional refurbishers, buy and refurbish items then resell them for a fraction of retail. The amount of sellers have grown tremendously. The only problem is when everyone is selling the same things (search iPad and you'll get well over 100,000 in different categories) what makes you stand out?
I've used several different methods of selling on eBay over the years and all were profitable. Some a little more than others.
1) Wholesale Dropshipping - I ran this very smoothly. My lifetime membership to Worldwide gave me several sources for dropshipping products. I setup an eBay store and went to work. It was running around $5000 per month in sales using just one of their dropshippers. The problem was the profit margin for consumer electronics wasn't much. While I could still sell for less than any of your local retailers, I was only clearing about $500 per month and was having trouble getting past $5000 per month. It's tough to sell when you're competing against 1000s of other sellers for the same buyers.
2) Selling Others People's Stuff - I did this again with an eBay store but using a local furniture company. They had a massive warehouse and tons of inventory. Everything from exotic furniture to marble statuary. Shipping was a pain in the butt! Folks want to buy that lifesize hippo (yes, I said hippo). Never sold one but came damn close a few times! This method still has a nice profit margin and I'm probably going to go back to experimenting with it now that I see Uship has simplified the shipping process for unusual items.
3) Making What You Sell - I'm just now starting to experiment with this one. I've always loved the look of old signage and magazine covers. I just started combining the two and recreating old magazine covers on wood panels. Sold a couple and the margins are quite nice. If you can make something, try selling it on eBay. You may be surprised.
4) Information publishing - This is probably the most profitable way to earn money on eBay. Make just about any "How To" book and sell it. If you use a digital download book, it doesn't cost you anything to create it and its incredibly profitable. There are tons of eBook sellers on eBay.
5) Selling Used Stuff - This is the simplest way to get started in my opinion. People look on eBay mainly for a deal on something. If you've picked up a used iPad that you found on Craigslist or somewhere else, you can usually sell it for a lot higher profit than the guys selling the new ones. Since the market for iPads is so large, selling it won't be a problem. I still think selling used stuff is the way to go for any beginner.
The key to selling anything on eBay for a tidy profit comes down to tools and research. If you know what it sells for and you know what your costs to sell it are, you already know your profit when you buy it. Use HammerTap for your research and a good eBay fee calculator to check your fees and you're good to go!

Can A Retired Person Work From Home?

Working from the home is a dream that many people have. When someone is younger, they want to work from the home for the freedom it brings to be with their family. When someone is older, that same desire for freedom is there. There is an additional twist. When someone is older, working from the home may be the only thing he or she is capable of doing. It may no longer be possible to work an 8 - 5 routine on a regular basis. And, it may be entirely necessary to find additional income because a partner has died, social security is not enough to live on, or the value of investments has been reduced.
What are some of the obstacles to an older person to finding work from home? One obstacle is that of technology. The younger generation is into cell phones and iPads. Internet businesses are springing up all over. Blogging is a natural and normal thing to do in today's world, as is having a Facebook page or Tweeting on Twitter. There are all sorts of other social media networks as well. But what about the older person who was raised without all that technology? It can be intimidating, and downright disheartening to them to think of attempting to learn it all. An older, retired person simply may not have the skills to work with all these new technologies. That makes it very difficult to find something suitable from the home.
Then there is the issue of networking. While there are companies out there, network marketing companies, that say that virtually "anyone can do this", the fact is, the average over sixty person does not want to spend his or her days going to friends and family pushing some sort of vitamin, cream, or lotion. It is a rare older person who wants to network to the degree that is required in network marketing.
Then there is the feasibility of whatever activity is involved. An older person may not have the strength or coordination of younger years, so that fact has to be taken into consideration. Is whatever the work-at-home opportunity is, something that can be done by the individual himself or herself? By sixty and above, some people have health issues so whatever is required needs to be flexible enough to accommodate those situations.
Finally, there is the cost. It has to be affordable for those who are on social security. Many retirees live off of social security as a major form of income Does the opportunity fall within the financial range of what the retiree can do?
If a retired person can overcome all of these obstacles, he or she has a good chance of making a viable living online. Yes, it is possible, but it requires effort and discernment to find the right opportunity. If the retired person can make it past the obstacle course presented to senior citizens, then yes, it is possible to work from home.
